It wouldn't be Chicago without criminal incompetency and shady election practices:
- The Chicago Board of Elections added more than 10,000 votes to its
total count on Saturday after its director of public information said he
mistakenly left out ballots.
The unofficial count now stands at 368,990 ballots cast after the 10,659 additional votes were added, bringing the citywide turnout to 24.44%. There are 1,509,554 active registered voters.
"In adding up the total number of Vote By Mail ballots the Board had received back so far, I mistakenly left out additional ballots that had been received back via USPS the evening of Monday, March 18," said Max Bever, director of public information for the Chicago Board of Elections. "I traded speed for accuracy in reporting out numbers this week as quickly as I could. I truly regret this error on my part and for the confusion that it has caused the voters of Chicago. I will share updated numbers only when they are accurate and verified."
Bullshit Max. At the very least, you're incompetent at your job and should be fired. At worst, you're an un-indicted criminal who needs to be jailed.
On the plus side, Burke maintains her lead and one of the writers / editors over at IllinoisPolicy.org posted on his twitter feed that Burke's lead is pretty much insurmountable at this point by legal and statistical norms. "Outside the margin of cheat" is what we'd call it.
But we'll see.

I remember as a kid they would keep counting and keep counting until all the votes were counted. I remember at eight in the morning people being declared the winner. I guess now you just turn off the lights, go home and come back the next day to count.

That said, why is a PR person responsible for adding up and/or authorizing vote totals? There is an executive director and three election commissioners who have oversight:

A disposal waste hauler was seen in the back of the Chicago Board of Elections. Men were spotted taking boxes out of the back of the hauler and walking with them into the rear of the Chicago Board of Elections. Thank goodness the Cook County Democratic Organization isn’t that sophisticated and ballsy, Burke is a show in!
I wonder if the uncounted ballots from the FOP election might be comingled with these ballots.

Correction: after counting what was stated as most of the remaining mail-in & dropbox ballots, EOB holds a 4,000+ lead. BUT…election staff told me they misstated the total number of remaining ballots, and 14,710 more (most are dropbox, so not postmarked) still must be counted.
Really hoping Harris wins by about 500 mail in votes. All of the liberal white ladies liked seeing Trump lose that way. They need to experience it too.

First, we should not have mailin ballots EVER! They are prone to fraud and we have 3-4 weeks to vote in person. Second, If a mail in ballot is not received by election day it SHOULD NOT BE COUNTED! People have had a month to mail it or drop it off before the election. Each and every ballot that “suddenly got discovered” should not be counted until there is a face to face verification with the voter.
They just happened to find almost 11,000 ballots on top of all the mail in ballots that just keep coming in. Yeah it’s all legit. Just ask Trump.

7pm March 24th and now her lead is only 2k, with 62% of today's votes going to Harris, despite the fact that he only had city vote of 52% and overall cook county 49%. With 3.5k left to count, he would have to have nearly 100% of the remaining votes. Some magic is about to happen overnight.
I guess it makes sense that they just "forgot" that ballots were received on Monday. I mean that's a simple mistake of you just think about how easy it is to forget that Monday comes before Tuesday, or that there's mail on Mondays, or that actually counting ballots is kind of the whole point of counting ballots. If they "forget" about a whole day's worth of ballots, what else could they be screwing up? Anyone who still thinks it's even remotely possible to have a fair and legitimate election in Chicago, is completely devoid of anything resembling a functioning brain. They already know they can steal any election they want, so why not this one? All you need is a few "forgets" and some "mistakes" and some "oopsies" and a "look over there" or two. Voting should be changed to in-person only, with verified identification, and only after passing an IQ test or maybe just seeing if you can tie your own fucking shoes. The only way you'll hear about cheating is if hell freezes over. They'll pay off or disappear whoever they need to. Even without observed cheating by monitors, there's no way to actually verify that mail-in ballots are legitimate, or that all legitimate ballots are counted. They know which neighborhoods the mail-in ballots come from, so they can just "lose" the ones from the neighborhoods that typically disagree with their policies. The people counting votes are basically unemployable morons, with no actual skills or education. They all also have one thing in common: they're liberals.
Like in the 1960's, late votes came in from the river wards.

Back in the day of a retired copper I was given a polling place as a rookie on the job. I arrived at polling place and the Precinct Captain offered me fifty dollars to get lost for the day and he could handle it all and told me that is the way it is done. I did not the fifty but hang around and watched how it was done. The Precinct Captain had a buffet of KFC sent up for the voters. He would have the voters eat them from the buffet and then advised them who to vote for. He had drivers on call to pick up voters to bring them to the polling place and back home. Often he would enter with voter behind the curtain to assist the elderly voter and told me this is the way it is done "kid ". At the end of the night and getting the final tally he would go behind the machine and click, click, to tally the votes. He told me this is a short cut to get out early. But the tally was about 10 Democrates for 1 Republican. What a joke, the Sgt would come along and pick up an evelope for the WC and asked me why I was hanging around. I told him had no where to go. Oh well that was the Chicago Way and probably is still the Chicago Way which was taught to every Democate in the Country. Hang in their as my best job is now retirement.

Something magical happened as well. Earlier, when the gap was around 10,000 votes, it was with 99% of the votes counted. Now, after thousands more votes have been counted, only 98.39% of votes are counted. How did they count more votes, but end up with a lower percentage of votes counted? That's the opposite of how math works.

More votes being counted should increase the percentage of those counted votes, not the total number of votes. You can't count more of a fixed number of things and somehow have a lower percentage counted when you're done. I guess I need to use an example to dumb it down for you.
If there are 100 apples in a basket, and I count 99 of the apples, there is now one apple left uncounted. If I count that remaining apple, there should not be 1.61 apples still in the basket waiting to be counted. There weren't that many apples left before I counted the last one, so you're could there now be more apples after I counted it? Your math requires throwing a bunch more apples into the basket after the count. That's not how percentages work. 99% of the votes counted is 99% of the votes, not 99% of the ones they wanted to include at that particular time.

Your continued inability to understand simple math doesn't negate anything. I haven't changed my stance, because it's based on math, not an opinion. Since that last post, the numbers have updated two more times. Both times, in defiance of your incorrect math beliefs, the percentage increased as they counted more votes. This is what people who understand math would expect. When you count more of something, the percentage that is counted increases. So, it was 99% of the vote counted two days ago, then it was 98.39% of the vote counted yesterday, then it was 98.51% and 98.58% today. Using your incorrect math, which explained the 99% dropping to 98.39%, how do you then explain the % increasing twice today. Did they subtract votes? Or were you wrong? Your belief is that the percentage will decrease as they count more of the votes. How will they ever arrive at 100% of the votes counted if the percentage decreases as they count more votes? See how fucking stupid that sounds? Use your brain or a calculator instead of just guessing. I'll try one more example to try to help you understand. After this, you're on your own. Ready?
Let's say there are 10,000 total votes. They reported that 99% of the votes were counted. That's 9900 votes. Then they reported that 98.39% of the votes were counted. That's 9839 votes, which is fewer votes than they previously reported as being counted. Does that clear it up for you? I assume it doesn't, because you're consciously choosing to ignore simple math and common sense just to argue.

Vote count is back up to 99%, defying the backwards math rules of the idiot above who thinks percentages go down as the percentage of total votes counted goes up. Weird how it's now gone up 4 times and only went down that one time. It's almost like that one didn't make any sense, just like I originally pointed out. I'm willing to bet the number will jump to 100% when they're done counting. Thanks for playing. Go back to school.
