- Officials say a murder victim managed to shoot his killer before dying, and, after the murderer fled, a passerby took the victim’s gun, hunted down the killer, and shot some more. It all happened last Friday afternoon in the 7400 block of South Euclid, according to Chicago police and prosecutors.
The entire story is over at the CWB blog and it's a doozy.
At reporting time, they still haven't caught the passerby....and one may be forgiven for hoping they never do.

While I love a story with a happy ending, had Quijuan Lewis been incarcerated for HIS PREVIOUS GUN CONVICTION, he never would have A) committed this murder, and B) been shot himself. More evidence that when they say they want to stop “gun violence,” they're LYING.

A passerby? I'm just guessing here, but I'm pretty sure the "passerby" was more like a "standing with" the victim, because they're likely in the same gang or family. I'd also guess that no one involved was white. Another guess is that none of the guns involved were owned or used legally. But it will all be the fault of the police, Republicans, food deserts, lack of opportunities, and most of all, white people. I'm gonna throw out one more guess and say that the dead guy was an aspiring rapper or some other more noble career that we all know he'd never pursue if he lived. Does the city count this as one, two or three shootings?
This is cook county. In the end they will drop charges because he got shot too.

This is great people finally getting involved getting rid of the scum that can never be cured, God, willing the person that took care of business will never be found because you know they will prosecute somebody that actually does what needed to be done protecting other people permanently

CWB Chicago rocks! But I'm confused. So Delagance and Quijuan get into it with words. Qijuan then hits Delagance in the head with gun. Delagance ups his gun. Qijuan then shoots Delagance in the head. Delagance then shoots Quijuan in the leg before he flees. Quijuan hides his gun behind some potato chips bags next to the grape pop cooler. Delagance's homie takes Delagances's gun from the crime scene and locates Quijuan at the gas station and shoots him in the buttocks. Authorities relate the have a name of the shooter and assorted witnesses but were unsure of the phonetic spelling of their first names complicating this investigation.
Actually there were probably no victims in this scenario. All are most likely shitbirds caught up in the process of the self cleaning oven.
But none the less, if they could, the leftist agenda driven media would love to have the offender be a red hat, white robe wearing, beer swilling, stump jumpin, deplorable orange man voting white guy. And even if he was a hispanic, he would somehow be classified as white, with the offenders photo used in the media stories lightened a few shades. Fake but accurate news in their estimation.

Went to CWB to read the article. The perp, after beating the victim with his gun then shooting him in the back of the head (victim shot the perp in the leg) ran to a nearby gas station convenience store and proceeded to try to hid his gun in among the bags of potato chips. The “passer by” who picked up the vic’s gun and chased him into the convenience store, then shot the perp in the ass several times. Sounds to me like some folks need a lot more range time.

I am very disappointed. There are tons of detectives on this site and not one has reclassified this event. This is clearly a mutual combatant event. No one to blame. No one to prosecute.

I just can't tell anymore, but I hope you're joking. You can't pick up a gun, chase after a guy, shoot him a bunch of times in the ass, and pretend it's mutual combat. Also, there's a very slim chance the guns are legally owned, so you've got those minor charges. I'm not sure how the whole thing started, but one of the offenders apparently pistol-whipped and shot the other in the head before that victim shot him in the leg. That scenario leaves you with one claim of self-defense and two aggravated battery offenders. You were joking though, right? I mean, someone here believes what you wrote, but you wrote it as a joke... right?

You cannot mean actual detectives, they are placeholders sitting in their offices, making their coffee, watching Netflix waiting for the overtime. Zero management nice to just sit there and do nothing but then again, that’s why none of them leave for other departments because then they know they would have to cry to get back on this department. They know how good they have it do nothing get paid wonderful job now go get me a sandwich.

Hanging around is only going to engender any friends the offender had to show up and engage in more shit. Best to not be there. So many cameras in the City these days that if anyone gives a shit, they'll find you and everyone can chat about it later...
