Public Opinion on Crime
The latest from The Contrarian site has the results of their crime survey, and it's as bad as you think it is:
Three weeks ago, Contrarian published a poll on crime in Chicago. Our survey drew over 2,200 responses and the results were stunning.
When asked if Chicago was in the throes of a crime “crisis,” nearly everyone agreed. This was, in fact, the most polarizing question we asked. While 92.9 percent of respondents agreed crime had reached crisis level, an astounding 81.5 percent said they strongly agreed. Only 5.8 percent believed that crime in Chicago was not a crisis. Only 1 percent of respondents said they neither disagreed nor agreed. That was the lowest group of agnostics we had in the survey.
Beyond being a crisis, a solid majority — 60 percent— of respondents said that they “strongly disagreed” with the statement “I feel safe in Chicago.” Another 25 percent “somewhat disagreed.” Less than 10 percent (9.5) indicated that they felt safe in the city.
Perhaps the most incredible revelation was that a majority of respondents (54 percent) admitted they or a family member of been the victim of crime. This proves what we already know: Crime is so far reaching, it is affecting everyone in Chicago. No neighborhood is safe. Only 25 percent of respondents said they (or their family) had not been the victim of Chicago’s crime crisis.
They have more stats and a number of graphs up, all pointing at the failures of Chicago and Illinois pols to have any meaningful effect on reducing crime....or the incentives to commit crime. Crimesha takes the biggest hit, leading us to believe this is exactly why she's not running again. Conehead and Groot are tied for blame, with Fata$$ taking a hit. Even Larritorious get a ding, and he's barely been supernintendo for a few months.
Cops don't appear to be blamed....just politicians, but that could just be the questions asked. Regardless, 92% of respondents want MORE police.

Blah blah blah. They claim they are scared and want more police and don't feel safe. Then they vote Democrat every time and not only that but the most radical leftist commie pukes that we've ever seen.
These same people voted for Kim Foxxxxxxx, overwhelmingly, and are gonna vote for Clayton Harris this time. It might be fairly close but the blacks will vote for the black candidate, like they always do. There just aren't enough clueless white liberal Karens who've been bashed in the head and carjacked yet to vote for someone more moderate. I agree that crime is out of control and agree with the survey results as you presented. But let’s be honest here. The readers of the contrarian are basically the same as the readers of SCC. In fact you are the reason I even know about them.
So if it was a poll on their site, the people taking it are not representative of the whole city. I think we should be, but we’re not. People here are intently focused on crime, most because fighting it is their profession. It would be great if it was a representative sample because then maybe people would vote for conservatives, but I’m not counting on it.
Well I feel safe in the city but I'm kind of a scary guy, if I'm being honest, and its the criminals that should be feeling unsafe around me. However I dont feel safe for my wife and kids, or my friends wives and kids, or woman in general, and decent kids in general. And all that leaves me feeling worse then if I alone felt unsafe.
Then again its not like I go jogging or club'ing in the ghetto or even work there anymore. Basically under Joe Biden the Nation's urban landscapes have become even bigger shit holes and the newspapers dont even report the crime much anymore because reporting it is racist. You have to go to CWBChicago to get the crime news. This fucking clown we got running the Bozo Show here in Chicago is also a travesty. Even worse, his hair sucks.

It’s like being in the eye of a hurricane. Some people are in denial that there is even a hurricane. Chicago is in a death spiral and it’s literally imploding and falling apart. Lots of people are in denial, lots of people moving and others are making plans to move. It’s some point the city won’t have the money coming in that’s one that’ll speed up the falling apart.

Anyways with over 500,000 illegal immigrant invaders said to be inhabiting illinois and tens of millions more let in across the country we thought about the handful of evil doers it took to bring down the towers in NYC on 9/11 and we felt so safe especially since like over 100,000 Gaza supporters in Michigan alone took time out of their day to actually go out and post a vote of not committed on the Democrat ballot. How pissed off does one have to be not to just say fuck it and not show up to vote but to actually go to the polling place and have your non committed vote be tallied?
So we are told by this crew that violence will not be tolerated during the DNC that the DNC is just like the NATO and WTO summits of the past and it's all under control. We have experience!
I don't know about anyone else but my plan is to be as far away from chicago as possible. There are no amount of security maps with outer perimeter and inner perimeters showing colorful red zones that should be called green zones that will convince me this city is safe and will be protected.
Maybe it was the Benghazi response or lack of was handled , or the Afghanistan pull out disaster experience that has me unconvinced and/or the lawlessness promoted by Foxx, the Safe-T act and empty jails and repeat illegal immigrant offenders with multiple names charged with multuple felonies giving the middle fingers to the cameras still roaming our streets on the taxpayers dime with the thousands of dollars in free housing support set to expire just as the DNC kicks off. But all the national polls tell us crime is down. Could they be lying or is it that many categories of crimes are no longer considered crimes?

But you are going to pull a democrat ballot on the 19th to vote for Eileen Burke instead of Crimesha clone Harris hopefully. That is the only contest that matters in this primary. Please everybody tell as many people as you can. This is our only chance to correct that office.
I agree that crime is bad. But in statistics there is a term called "adverse selection" meaning you are already pulling from a pot of people that have predetermined tendencies (i.e. the readers of the chicago contrarian)

When will the biased leftist pollsters start conducting fair polls? Since when are they ever unbiased? They oversample democrats all of the time, then try and tell us Brandon is only trailing President Trump, 43% to Trumps 48%. We all know Trump is ahead more like 70% to Brandon’s 30%. I think a scientific poll, maybe by the Illinois Policy Institute, would show more crime concerns than the media lets on, but I agree this poll is somewhat questionable.
Incidentally, how long can the media keep blaming everything on COVID? Every time a business closes, they say "COVID," when even CTU agreed to go back to work more than two years ago now.
God forbid the media admit that the locals don't go out at night and the suburbanites and tourists are staying away in droves because Chicago is a crime-infested hell hole.
That would put the media's support of pro-crime policies and candidates in the spotlight, and they can't have that.

As people become desperate, when they have no jobs, can't pay the mortgage, and all the unskilled "fall back" jobs are going to the invasion illegals. You ain't seen nothing yet!

Good! Maybe it will wake her up a bit. COPA "investigators" believe the police to be the bad guys. This needs to happen more often until they smarten up. Buying every line of bullshit fed to them by criminal scum, and assuming the police did something wrong simply because they're the police. They lack the sense to realize that criminals have something to gain and nothing to lose by making false accusations against the police. They assume that where there's smoke there's fire, but sometimes(the majority of times) it's just some asshole blowing smoke.
