Probation?
Crook County justice always manages to disappoint:
- A man has been sentenced to probation for firing two shots from a Chicago police officer’s handgun while the cop struggled for control of the weapon in Lincoln Park last year.
Thomas Tucker, 30, pleaded guilty to aggravated battery of a peace officer and endangering others by recklessly discharging a firearm, according to court records. Judge Anjana Hansen handed him two years of probation with orders to undergo a mental health evaluation and treatment. Court records show that he must also submit a DNA sample for indexing and meet other obligations.

Not only do the politicians, judges and majority of residents not give a shit about law enforcement but they really, really hate law enforcement and wish nothing but the absolute worst for it.
This will only change for the worse as time goes on.
At least his DNA will be on file for his next crime... so that's a win... right? We need to start locking away the mentally ill who resort to violence. They aren't fit to walk free if they can't control themselves or stay medicated enough to let the drugs control them. Forget about feelings and their "dignity." If their brains don't allow them to be productive, non-violent members of society, we shouldn't let them either. Some people just aren't fit to be free. And that goes double for violent criminals who don't have the excuse of mental illness.

It’s time for protests. Borrow the giant rat from the labor unions and display it at the courts because these people in the judicial system are nothing but rats. Probably 98% of the public has no idea of what is going on. This is reprehensible and insulting. The officer performed admirably and I am sorry for the tremendous stress he went through.
I guess keep working hard and put your life on the line. To the courts your life isn’t worth much.

Seriously? If she actually prosecutes criminals she's more pro life than Foxx 2.0. I held my nose and pulled a Democratic ballot in early voting just so I could vote for her. Oh and I also voted no on the CTU tax on property transactions. Fuck them and Mayor Panic Attack too.
