Shooting, Barricade Incident
- Authorities responded to a police-involved shooting and an hours-long standoff Saturday afternoon on Chicago's South Side. A man who was barricaded inside an apartment in the 8000 block of South Western Avenue has been arrested, Chicago police said.
The Civilian Office of Police Accountability said they responded to a police-shooting at that location. At least one Chicago police officer discharged their weapon.
It was not immediately known if the suspect inside the apartment was injured.
This seems to follow the pattern of quite a few incidents lately. Bad guy runs, cops pursue - but only up to the point where the offender is trapped, SWAT is called, incident drags out before ending.
We can't say we're surprised at these procedural developments. And we'll say that SWAT is probably going to earn their money the next few years....or decades even.
No one wants a police shooting, not even the police.

As long as the police are OK, none of this nonsense matters, this is nothing compared to the democratic shit show that is coming with this convention of all the pieces of shit coming to ruins Chicago how many different organizations are planning to violently protest? Protect the brothers and sisters and Blue and your neighborhood downtown is already destroyed.
Unfortunately in Chicago, there aren’t too many normal neighborhoods.
Bad people go to normal neighborhoods to commit carjacking,catalytic converter thefts because they’re not held in prison when arrested.

HeyJackass is reporting a non-fatal, police-involved shooting so it appears someone caught a round.
Off topic, just finished watching COPA released body worn camera footage of an incident which occurred in 018 last March. The incident involved some fucking zebra who shot an officer’s handgun while the cop struggled for control of the weapon. I’m glad the officer fought through and was able to come out unharmed, but can we please focus on the two useless female officers on scene which did absolutely nothing. The officer gave these officers a complete description and last known location of the offender and these useless mutts stood around with no concern to attempt to locate the offender. They even had the audacity to tell other officers as to where the offender was last seen running all while standing around with no effort to join in the hunt for this animal. Their sole only concern was, “so what happened to ya”. We are fucked if this is who is backing us up out here! Stay safe and god bless.

As long as Lamb doesn't show up, its all good. All the teabagging higher ranking exempts is very distracting. You would think having every promotion be merit would satisfy a guy. Wasn't destroying the team as CO so you could get promoted enough?

Tell you, I’ve been in some dicey situations and it is an absolute relief when swat gets on the scene. They are professionals and they do it right. With our restrictive policies and it seems almost every sgt now calls an HBT for anything, they get a ton of work these day.. most of which is mental calls. For me, just my opinion, I’m extremely appreciative when swat shows up. Knock them if you want but I’ve had to use them and I appreciate them a ton.
One would think CPD SWAT would be bringing a nice 50 Cal Sniper Rifle
to these barricade OPS?
The McMillan TAC-50 rifle using a 5x25 Schmidt & Bender scope with an
Elite Iron direct thread silencer, Hornady 50 BMG 750 grain ammo.
SWAT SNIPER SHOULD BE A BIG HONDO OF 190 LBS PLUS TO RUN THIS RIG.
1500 Klick Kills easy pease in Urban flatland.
Just showing the Bad Guys the Instruments & Raufoss Mk 211 may end the barricade.
Works for the Cortez Inquisitors.

Why would CPD SWAT use a long range .50 cal for short range targets? Impractical, too expensive, expensive ammo, overpenetration like a mfer, liberals whining about "overkill" when dude's head disappears completely, etc. Do you carry a Desert Eagle .50? Do you drive a jeep with giant offroad tires and a snorkel to navigate the scary paved streets? Do you have a punisher logo on everything you own? Calm down.
