Schools could have the opposite effect of what’s intended.
“You really disrespect schools to make decisions that they felt was best for them,” the long-time pastor of St. Sabina Catholic Church in Auburn Gresham told The Center Square. “You’re saying, ‘Well, we know better.’ This is their school, and since when do we know better for them? I think the process was terrible and disrespectful. That’s not a progressive move. Progressive is supposed to be listening to the people and having the people in the decision-making.”
Soon after authorities moved to pass a resolution stipulating that the district draft a new safety plan, erasing police from the equation, the plan was unanimously approved by the city’s seven-member Board of Education. It is set to be presented for final approval by June 27.
Actually Mike, that's exactly what "progressive" means nowadays. They know better, despite all evidence to the contrary, and they're going to make sure everyone else follows their diktats, consequences be damned.
Not too dissimilar to how you've "run" Sabina in absolute defiance of archdiocesan rules and Archbishop orders for years.

CPS might want to at least have the police attend every school's Local School Council (LSC) meetings.
Steinmetz principal Dr. Anna Vilchez pressed simple battery charges against one of her own teachers (Gina Szulkowski, Art) after the Steinmetz LSC meeting on January 10, 2023.
It seems Principal Vilchez became very afraid and nervous after Szulkowski was loudly and aggressively presenting a teacher's report and then one of their LSC members (Jose Quiles) chastised Szulkowski towards the end of the meeting for complaining too much.
Szulkowski became infuriated with Quiles because he didn't allow her to rebuttal his criticisms of her and abruptly ended the meeting.
Szulkowski then tried to show the ditzy Principal Vilchez after the meeting what she was entitled to say during the teacher's report with something on her cellphone and it totally backed Szulkowski. Principal Vilchez lied when she claimed Szulkowski was threatening her and violated her personal space as 4-5 witnesses gave statements that it didn't happen the way Principal Vilchez seen it.
Szulkowski was placed on paid suspension by CPS until the end of the school year when she was finally cleared of the simple battery charge.
CPS then directed both Szulkowski and Principal Vilchez not to have direct contact with each other for the 2023-24 school year. They each need a go-between if they need to communicate with each other.
Basically, CPS gave them each a timeout away from each other and sent them each to the rooms. Mind you, Principal Vilchez makes $163K and Szulkowski $109K.
So, in essence Szulkowski was given a paid vacation for 9 months at both the taxpayers' and her students' expense. The students were given free passing grades in their ceramic classes as they sat with a substitute teacher in the auditorium for 6 months until the end of the 2022-23 school year.
Who is Jose Quiles? The father of one of 36th Ward Ald. GIl Villegas' community organizers (Vanessa Valentin).
You can't make this stuff up.

Truth. At the end of the day we are dealing with spiritual battles. Correct. Once we understand who the god of this world is everything starts to make sense it’s all written when evil is declared to be good and when good is declared to be evil.

Father Mike gave me private communion when I was in grammar school when my Boy Scout troop went to St. Sabina’s for the downhill racer derby. He asked if I wanted to sit in his “Holy Roller” racer and once I did it was game over. He’d take me to Red Lobster and The Olive Garden if I promised to wear the clothes he’d buy me from the husky section at JCPenny.
Having driven by Sabina and seen the black power African flag plastered all over the campus I no longer listen to his positions.

Hmmm…he’s been the Parish leader since 1981. It’s long been said that he holds the job with the diocese in that Parish because no one else wants it. I do wonder though, is it possible no other Parish wants him?
Enough of that however, what a fine job in over 40 years he’s done. A generation is often considered to be about 15-20 years. That means he’s been there for over two generations. Auburn Gresham is still among the most dangerous neighborhoods in the city. Somehow Phleger has had the longest serving and strongest participating hand in the neighborhood.
Two things have remained the most consistent in Auburn; Phleger and violence. It seems as though the longer the violence persists, the stronger his hold is on job security.
Since it may be true that no other Pastor wants the job and Phleger’s message of faith is not working, my idea is this: Diocese, fire Phleger, shutter the Parish, sell the property to a developer (maybe low income illegal immigrant housing) and then re-invest the money into a Parish/Community that is seeking and actually wanting salvation.

The cardinal failed the people of the catholic church and allowed this distator to remain in power way too long. Should be term limits for a priest to be in a specific parish, like 8 years and then you are transferred out. Just like a President.

Yep!!! Two females, Gladys and Jeannine. The Prosser staff called them Gag Me and Laxy and they came complete with Oprah Arms ànd bad attitudes.
They forgot what they were there for to do and got involved in chain emails with the Prosser clerks, gift gifting, staff food runs etc.
Both did guard the front entrance after their second lunch of the day and kept breaking aluminum folding chairs from all their poundage.
Seen them on a WGN news feed one summer afternoon on a special during a murder investigation across from Kelvyn Park high school on Wrightwood. WGN's helicopter was there pretty quick and they slowly got out of their squad after two others squads showed up and went in. They wanted no part of work

I disagree with it being a moot point . Lot of new kids on the job don’t understand it yet .
Per my religion teacher senior year of high school, parish priests take the vows of chastity and obedience but not poverty. That being said, remember years ago when he was appointed principal of Leo HS and threw a tantrum? Never became a principal at Leo. So much for the vow of obedience for Fr. Fluffer.
There are limits to the time a priest is supposed to serve in a parish, but this guy here is special. I’m suspecting he is working with the leftists somehow, and this current pope certainly loves the social justice one world crap.
