While you're barbecuing or working or whatever, remember:

(apologies for late post - this was supposed to go up at 12:04 AM, but we typed 12:04 PM and had to fix it this morning...it's fixed now)

If you ever visit San Diego, make a trip to the Rosecrans National cemetery over looking Coronado Island. What a beautiful resting place for those who gave there lives for our freedom.

Thank you all.

Ahhh… the Ol’ AM/PM Switcheroo.

Similar to the excuse I used the first couple times I “overslept” and missed court.

Keep our military in your thoughts and prayers.

Have a blessed Memorial Day! & of possible interest, May 28th is the 100th Anniversary of the US Border Patrol. The media certainly won’t cover it, so for the men and women in green, I take my hat off to them and their 156 killed in & on the line heroes!

God Bless you SCC
May God also bless my fellow brethren in blue wherever they may be

And most of all on this Memorial Day may the good, gracious Lord above bless all of those who have served their fellow man with their service/sacrifice/(unfortunate) loss of life in order to continue to make this Constitutional Republic the great land it is. You will never be forgotten.

With that said - a shooting for a theft in front of the "Home Alone" house in Winnetka?! - you can't make this s*** up if you tried!

Not served , DIED. This day is for remembering those who gave their lives. I know you mean well but thanking those who “served” on this day cheapens the sacrifice made by those who gave their lives for us. I think all those who “served” would agree.

Many people stuff hot dogs and burgers in their pie hole on memorial day and are truly clueless or just don't give a shit on what the day really means. Whatever the future holds we should NEVER forget our past and the people who died so we can have a future.

The Red Headed Stepchild of Federal Law Enforcement is celebrating its Centennial? That's a truly unappreciated agency. Only recently have those boys attained Agent status. The great majority of those 156 KIAs were underpaid and poorly compensated Federal policemen, which a trip to the OPM pay site should make us wince. Fighting Cartel gunmen before it was Cool.

Tip of the hat for sure.

Thank those who served on Veteran’s Day. Thank those who died on Memorial Day.

I didn’t really think about the distinction until a neighbor’s son went into the army and told me that, he felt strongly about it.
