Pre-Convention Lawsuit
As protests surge across America just months before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, activists representing LGBTQ+ and women’s reproductive rights say Mayor Brandon Johnson’s administration is violating their First Amendment rights and is unprepared for the onslaught of dissidents headed to the city this August.
The claims were made as Bodies Outside of Unjust Laws filed a federal lawsuit Thursday alleging the city wrongfully denied permits for the group to protest by the Water Tower on Michigan Avenue, an area where many Democratic delegates will be staying during the Aug. 19-22 convention.
Joined by the ACLU of Illinois, activists with the LGBTQ+ and women’s reproductive rights organization said that while they support the Democratic Party over Republicans it’s essential for protesters to be heard to ensure their perspectives are reflected by the party both during and after the convention.
Just so everyone is aware, if protestors pop up in unexpected places around town, they still have a First Amendment Right to be in public spaces, chanting what they want, protesting whatever. Be familiar with the First Amendment General Order.
They still have to obey laws concerning being on sidewalks, not blocking intersections, etc. They're claims of Conehead's administration being unprepared are 100% on point, but that doesn't mean you can't be prepared and informed in advance, so when mayor BlowJob attempts to throw you under the bus, you're able to defend your actions....or inactions.

Do they mean the onslaught of paid, professional protesters and agent provocateurs that will motivate the street animals to act against their own interests? No worries though; they'll be bailed out by the people running the show.
Don't be a hero during the convention. Your job and your freedom depend on what you do or more importantly, don't do.
You'll get in less trouble if you do nothing than if you do something. Going beyond what a bunch of office dweebs say is "the scope of your employment" will jam you up every time.
None of the people appearing at or supporting those at the DNC are worth risking your career or freedom.
Except possibly for the "B", why is the alphabet mafia worried about reproducing?
Democrat party convention held here during the ass end of august.
All within the areas most utilized by the building regular appearences of youths most rambunctious.
Add these eager to protest passionately to the mix.
Sprinkle in generously the spicy activities of the take and break crews and crowds.

Give these people what they want! The Democrats wanted, encouraged and nurtured this movement over the years. Just look back to the summer of 2020. Maybe they can sue and some lefty judge can approve some delegate spots inside the Convention for them. U This would trigger a lot of Adam Schiffing in the Dems pants. And remember don’t violate their rights to “mostly peaceful protesting.” Be courteous and wave from a distance so as not to scare them.
Seeing how things are developing now at the colleges,
that DNC Convention is going to be a mighty fine $hitshow.

Despite the message, no one HAS to listen to it. To compel one to do so is tantamount to a trespass. So if I'm having a conference inside a building, and you want to picket the building on the sidewalk: Fine. You can't block anyone from entering or exiting the building, and you don't get to use a bullhorn or bucket or other noisemaker to compel us to listen to your message or to disturb us in any way.
You don't like that? Go fuck yourself. We don't cowtow to economic or domestic terrorists, which is precisely what you become when you make it impossible for me to work because I don't happen to agree with you.
If the sidewalk's too small to safely hold your protest, then you can have it elsewhere, because we're not about to screw up traffic either.
The policy needs to be: Put a toenail off the sidewalk or the approved area and you're getting instantly arrested.
Take over a building? Arrested. Charged with domestic terrorism.
Trying to "camp out"? Arrested. Charged with domestic terrorism, and we're going to flood out the tents.
Stop fucking around with these people. You know the shit they're going to pull, that they're going to engage in, so be proactive.

The Dept has barely enforced the GO that says it’s illegal to block sidewalks and roadways. These supervisors let them do whatever they want for hours until a member of higher rank shows up and does nothing also.
The best course of action is to do nothing unless it’s a lawful order, other than protecting persons and property.
Remember to document all orders with name and star numbers.
No boss will stand up for you in federal court!
Ignore all pop-up protests. They're just going to be distractions and try to scatter available personnel.

A new order should be written up for these protests. Why do we have to babysit them and walk with them? Fuck them. Let them all protest with no police around. The DNC is a firm believer in the 1st Amendment (not so much the 2nd).

One dissappointing occurence is that the regulars, from the communities well known, will refrain from entering their reliable harvesting zones, though that decision would take some thoughtfulness, not their nature.
Another more likely is that the more clever ones, of the take and break and mugg and tug clans will avail of the opportunities opened within other areas now devoid of police presence. These are clever, yet not clever enough to ever see clearly the vital connection between police presence and their intended victims not killing them.
So, everything being a catalyst for something, the combinations of possibilities present their natural kaleidoscopic visions to any and all who take a peek.
A late summer outing far from here would be wise.
Does this mean that the City has to supply them with cases of fresh "D"-size batteries for the bullhorns they'll stick in your face?

These aren't going to be youth. If you check the recent protest arrests on campus in New York, over a third weren't even students.

This was in Denver and the mayor ordered the police to stand down and they all did.

The same groups that cry when an "unarmed" youth is shot buy someone having their head beat into the pavement stood up and cheered when Ashley Babbitt was shot.
Suddenly unarmed doesn't mean harmless when you are trespassing in a government building.
Likewise all the big tech companies that refused to offer facial recognition software to law enforcement during the "fiery but peaceful" protests of 2020 could not offer it fast enough to help prosecute a bunch of trespassers.
Th cop that shot Ms. Babbitt was hailed as a "hero" while the one that repeatedly called an ambulance for St. Floyd of Fentanyl is a convicted murderer for holding him down while he ODed.
Applying the same standards the cop in Minneapolis should have been justified in shooting Floyd after he refused a lawful order twice.
The cop that killed Justine Diamond in Minneapolis was only sentenced to 4.75 years for shooting her in cold blood.
Obviously holding down a black junkie while he ODs is a much more serious crime than shooting a white woman for reporting a crime.
The fact that Justine's killer was a muslim from Somalia and MN is little Somalia now probably factored in to the sentencing.
The only way to win this identity politics game is not to play.
The supreme court has ruled multiple times the police have no obligation to respond to calls or provide protection.
As someone much more experienced than I has often said:
Look
Laugh
Leave.
The DNC believes in "our democracy" and they should get it good and hard.
Don't risk your job, funds or life trying to save these pricks from a desperately deserved comeuppance.
As the song says:

It isn't your job to save these people from themselves.
If you try to they will be the first ones taking you to court.
