Conehead Being Unethical?
The chair of the City Council’s ethics committee wants department officials to testify on the city’s do-not-hire list after the placement of former staffers of Mayor Brandon Johnson’s office “raised a lot of real questions and concerns.”
Ald. Matt Martin, 47th Ward and chair of the Committee on Ethics and Government Oversight, filed a resolution Wednesday calling for the city’s departments of human resources, law and the Office of Inspector General to testify on the city’s “ineligibility for rehire” policy — which was updated earlier this month.
Martin’s call for a hearing comes after WBEZ and the Chicago Tribune reported on the allegations from former mayor’s office staffers who complained of mistreatment and then were placed on the do-not-hire list.
It's too bad we can't go back to the old days. Remember Mike Royko's book, "Boss"? This was always one of the more memorable passages about Old Man Daley's networking:
- His police Department's intelligence-gathering division gets bigger and bigger, it's network of infiltrators, informants, and spies creating massive files on dissenters, street gangs, political enemies, newsmen, radicals, liberals, and anybody else who might be working against him. If one of his handpicked office holders is shacking up with a woman, he will know it. And if that man is married and a Catholic, his political career will wither and die. That is the greatest sin of all. You can make money under the table and move ahead, but you are forbidden to make secretaries under the sheets.
Come to think of it, "progressives" probably view this writing as a "How-To Disassemble Government" guidebook starting with the Police Department.
Which brings to mind - have they had a baby shower for that unnamed alleged mistress yet?

Do not hire list? Well, in blue, Democrat shithole cities that list consists of any straight, white male and/or anyone with Christian Conservative beliefs.
Conspicuously left off Chicago's Do Not Hire list are crackhead junkies who try to run over police officers.
I'd forgotten about that passage from "Boss"!
Not that different than the FBI's J. Edgar Hoover.

Interesting this is coming out before DNC. Emphasis on 1st & 4th Amendment Rights of the “visitors”.
Keep hearing rumors of some retired exempt trying to come back.
Rumors from 35st that Snelling talked to mcdermott about coming back to help with summer trouble. Snelling staff is overwhelmed with problems and incompetent.
The powers innately possessed by our city council are immense, and can, if used, cock block practically anything that the mayor's cabal wants.
Were there to be any city council cadidates who appreciate this ability, these are to be elected, until such election as a majority of our city council is thusly.
The historical powers of the mayor only exist as they are tolerated by the city council majority.
SCC, I know that Freedom Day is fast approaching, I hope you continue with this "hobby". The Blog really is a valuable service to the people of Chicago.
I hope you continue to build your network of sources.
I recommend reading Charlie Wilson's War. Focus on how Gus Avrakotos operated at the CIA. He befriended clerks, janitors, technicians and secretaries to build a network within the CIA.
Help the left eat the left. Whisper in their ears.
Let the next protest mob know where the mayor really lives.
Let the angry mother's group know that while their children were unprotected, the mayor and exmayors had hundreds of police bodyguards.
Stay Anonymous. Fight in the shadows.
Good luck!
the city has had a do not hire list for the police and fire department for a long time,,, they always skipped the well qualified male and female whites
Which brings to mind - have they had a baby shower for that unnamed alleged mistress yet?

100% False.
Mayor BJ is actually doing people a favor by putting them on the no rehire list.
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
Years ago, there was a young 11th ward guy that was handpicked by old man Daley. Well, it was discovered that he (Catholic) was getting divorced and had a side lady. GONE! Michael Bilandic was the successor to the Boss. Later defeated, thank God, by Jane Byrne. She lasted 4 years. The only mayor in my time that actually like the police. She approved the use of a bargaining unit for contracts and lobbying efforts. She started Taste of Chicago and other ethnic fests at an upgraded Navy Pier.
Junior Daley broke away from the old ways and blatantly sold off money making ventures like the parking meter nonsense. The Joyce family still stored and delivered the voting machines. Many other politically connected families openly benefited, as before, but somewhat in the open. No fear of the press or any citizens beefing.
Under the old ways, divorce and cheating were verboten. Now it is a free-for-all. There is no shame.
It is often this way.
The first generation builds it.
The second generation barely appreciates it.
The third generation depreciates it.
The daley mumbler was just following the pattern.
Where does conehead really live? Does beetle juice still have a contingent of officers at her home?

I can see that, because this current administration is the worse. Someone has to do it while he out shaking hands and taking photos. OAN if he helps out what will Waller be doing?

That might be true. It’s difficult to promoting the current Exempts. Many are too weak, feeble and clueless.
