Yahoo News, of all places, has the printable story of the Streeterville attack. Here's the first part of it:
A Chicago couple were attacked after going on a date in the Windy City's Streeterville neighborhood on Friday. The husband and wife were walking on the street when they were surrounded by an unknown number of teens Friday evening near Grand Avenue and McClurg Court, FOX 32 Chicago reported.
The woman, whose name is Nina, told the outlet they were kicked, stomped on and punched repeatedly. She was two weeks pregnant at the time of the incident and found out afterward she lost the baby, according to FOX 32.
"We believe in faith and it wasn't meant to be. So, we don't know why this happened to us," Nina said. Nina shared photographs of her injuries with FOX 32. The images show a chunk of her hair was pulled out and her eye was bruised in the assault.

Grand and McClurg...cameras everywhere. 830pm...not totally dark out. Is there a video ? . Not one person around where this happened didn't have their phone out to record this? Either there is more to this story or the media and City Hall are doing everything they can to keep this story quiet. I'm betting it's a cover up...since crime is down according to the Ivory Tower.

She has a slight accent, and I believe she meant "fate." Still a stupid belief, but makes more sense than saying faith. You don't believe in faith. Faith is the belief.

The condo association would likely have a strict set of rules about what their security can and can't do. If they step outside those rules, they'd be responsible. If acting within those rules, the condo association would also be responsible. Security would also have to act within the guidelines of whatever security credentials they have. Either way, when something goes sideways, the security officer, whatever company they work for, and the condo association would all be sued. Who pays would be up to a corrupt cook county judge or jury.
A little.....CCL AND using it would have cured this.

MSM ignores victim's miscarriage.
We live very very close nearby. Our onsite HOA condo manager recently sent out email to residents, noting building staff directed to "not assist" any building residents they see being accosted or attacked outside our building. Guess if we get mugged in front lobby, then doorman perhaps will intervene. All that for $1500/month condo assessment fee.

I highly recommend the movie "Manda Bala" ['send a bullet'], a 2007 documentary about Brazil (so damningly accurate that it was banned there). Private security everywhere, execs taking helicopters to work (!) simply to avoid the ubiquitous carjackings & kidnappings.

Fulton market also hired private security what’s going to happen when they get involved engaged with the animals? Will they be able to control the savage? The weed stores in Chicago got rid of their armed security because they said they’re having no problems so now they hired on armed minimum wage people in folks let’s see how that plays out!
As a taxpayer, I’d like to know if CPD/anybody has the power to confiscate the cellphones of the two ‘baby-faced teens’ who were caught as part of this mob attack. Is anybody able to access who these two were in contact with throughout the afternoon? How else will the rest of these savages get captured until the two caught provide names? Certainly the 14 year old must have a phone to tell his parent that he’s with friends-miles away downtown!

Today, I was walking by a park to meet a friend. I was watching people play tennis. Meanwhile, there were three little black girls, the oldest not more than 6, running around with no parent in site. They kept bugging multiple sets of people playing tennis, walking right into the courts and asking “Can I play?” and then grabbing at the rackets, walking in the middle of the courts while players were in full play. The men playing were more than polite, eventhough they seemed serious players, but tried to move the girls along nonetheless. All I could hear was the girls screaming “white people” “white people,” the rest was inaudible. No, I don’t understand that “culture” and I have black friends who don’t get it either. All I saw was future kids running up and down Michigan avenue beating up people in a few years time. It’s not just a fatherless culture, it’s a culture where the “mom” thinks her greatest contribution to her children’s lives was that she gave birth to them, no other parenting necessary. The definition of parenting in the “culture” being ignoring or yelling dependent on how much they get in the way of mama’s lifestyle.

I also watched the interview, where she spoke with a slight accent, and said "faith" with that accent, in a context that would make anyone with a brain believe she meant "fate." Significance is solely the property of the experiencer.
The first comment quoted in the original response sees the testing of faith to be entirely composed of trials and tribulations.
The second comment quoted, presumably yours, finds the victim's choice/pronunciation of words to be significant enough to comment upon.
