So a group of non-demonized yutes ran wild in Streeterville over the weekend, attacking and beating a married couple out on a date night.
Fox 32 has the report here, but there doesn't seem to be a print report with it.
The non-demonized yutes beat the husband pretty extensively, then caught the wife and beat her badly enough that she ended up miscarrying her pregnancy. The only two arrested were a 17 year old female and a 14 year old male among a group of a few dozen claiming they "owned the streets."
Crimesha refused felony charges so only misdemeanor charges were lodged and as far as we can tell, no one remained in custody for more than a few minutes.

Heartbreaking video … I feel for the mother who lost her unborn child. I will keep her and the husband in my prayers. People just don’t realize how absolutely dangerous River North / Streeterville has become. Yeah, statistically the chances of being mugged and injured seems low with all the people walking about, but the dangers are pervasive and frequent now. The lack of safety and the enforcement of laws is destroying the city. I have a relative who has an office in the central loop, he said the building is now 40% occupied and his group is leaving soon. His business takes him all around downtown, Gold Coast etc. He says you don’t see the number of people on the streets like you did before. Restaurants and other businesses are gone. He said it’s a sad feeling after working down there all those years and to see the decline.
See some of the northern suburbs, north of Lake/Cook where they have nice office complex parks. Some of the companies are ones that used to be in Chicago. And they have parking, grass and trees! I had a condo in downtown Chi about 20 years ago. Used to walk home sometimes at midnight from the bars. Never once had any issue. Came back for an event maybe 7-8 years ago. Seemed a little dicey so I walked up to Mich Ave thinking this was safer. It was like Somalia at 10-11pm. Never went back. Hope the couple recovers but man, you can't be down there. Period.

Not that long ago, I would’ve read this comment being a retired cop or saying no it’s not so bad, now, even though we have family in this state in the city, we are going to move within the next God, willing less than two years as soon as my spouse retires, we are looking at Lake County Illinois because we will be stocking Illinois you see what happens to the criminals there. At least they hold them in custody and they don’t fuck around with them. Chicago is finished absolutely positively no doubt attacking downtown now as they have been destroying any possible chance of a resurgence. Tell you what at my age and with my health a jail sentence doesn’t scare me watching the animals maim me or my loved one does so do you feel lucky punks? Old man in prison is treated ok would miss family but they would be alive as animals get dirt naps!
Our incentive structure is flawed. This seems counter intuitive, but the more business and middle class people flee, the larger the base as a percentage becomes for the democrats. So, the more they destroy the city, the more secure their position becomes.
Since that baby died in womb, how about murder charges for these POS's. Where's Lets go Brandon decrying this heinous act?
It's glaringly obvious here that, as a result of this, more here are calling for something to be "done" against the perpetrators: felony charges, "dirt naps", etc.
But in other posts, there's "do nothing", "look, laugh, leave", "drive on", "FIDO".
When we do nothing, things like this happen. When we do something, we get excoriated.
As police we want to do something, but it feels like we are expected to fight crime with both hands tied behind our backs.

It is impossible to vote them out because the democrats steal elections, FJB even admitted this much when he said democrats control a vast vote fraud apparatus.
You have to fight violence with violence. That is all these criminals know.
A sweet talking cop only gives the criminal more power and control.
This is why cops had to crack heads in the old days. To let the criminals know the streets belong to the cops.

It's glaringly obvious here that, as a result of this, more here are calling for something to be "done" against the perpetrators: felony charges, "dirt naps", etc.
But in other posts, there's "do nothing", "look, laugh, leave", "drive on", "FIDO".
When we do nothing, things like this happen. When we do something, we get excoriated.
As police we want to do something, but it feels like we are expected to fight crime with both hands tied behind our backs.
Hats off to the coppers who even arrested the two offenders. Maybe, hopefully (but not holding my breath), a little media pressure will result in them being charged more accordingly.

Police are limited in what they can do to 'fight crime', and severely limited here, by the actions and inactions of our illustriously rotten governments.
Citizens are also somewhat limited, via the preceeding described illustriously rotten governments, yet not as severely limited as police are.
Most citizens/residents of our populace do not 'fight crime', only avoid being a victim of crime.
Many, too many, enable the previously described illustriously rotten governments to thrive here.
Citizens, residents, any honest civilized humans here, can do a few things, besides merely using what brains they may have to avoid becoming victims.
I considered listing a few, yet, those with brains can figure them out and those without brains cannot be trusted to not misunderstand pretty much everything.
So, I refrain.

Where is Brandon? How come he’s not on TV talking about this? Then we have Larry who is saying that lawlessness will not be tolerated during the Democratic convention. The lawlessness that is tolerated now I guess it is perfectly OK, we cannot even control what we have now much less on a massive scale with all the trained terrorists in this country. When the head of the FBI is telling everyone publicly that he sees red lights flashing everywhere from people that are allowed in this country due to the Democrats opening the borders he is basically telling everyone when shit goes south don’t blame them! We all know big things are coming bad things are on the way praying that the good people are safe, and the coppers that God holds them in his hand and protects them and their families!
Conservatives don’t know how to have fun? Hmm. I might have thought that too, before I knew what real fun is. Real fun is having a night out without being armed and not seeing crime or criminals.

If the husband had a CCL and was armed, what would have happened if he opened fire on the mob, killing one or two, while the rest dispersed? If he had saved the life of his unborn child this way, would the ASA see it as justified? Would the ASA believe he was saving a life or preventing great bodily harm by opening fire on a group of violent teenagers, none of whom were armed per se, but collectively could (and did) cause great bodily harm or death?
That this is a genuine question is hugely problematic for our city.
A society that allows one group of citizens to run around rampantly committing violent crimes in order to make up for perceived wrongs of the past is doomed or destined for even more violence.

It has been written here multiple times. If you are going to carry a firearm with the intention of using it to protect yourself and/or others, you best be insured. Second, never say a word until your lawyer arrives. Those two rules are really non-negotiable. They can save you a world of hurt, including financial.
