The Chicago Teachers Union isn’t limiting its extreme contract demands to 9% annual wage increases and carbon-free schools. It also wants teacher control over curriculum in a way that could keep parents in the dark over what their children are being taught.
Among the union’s 700-plus proposed contract provisions, CTU is demanding teachers be able to reject any district-provided curriculum to “choose what works best for students.”
That includes any state-mandated curriculum related to “Black history, genocide and Holocaust study, Disability Rights Movement, LGBTQ contributions, culturally responsive teaching and learning standards, Reparations Won, CPS on interdisciplinary latin american [sic] studies, TEEACH ACT, Native American history, and antiracist curriculum, etc.”
The demands also include a provision that “teachers shall not be coerced, retaliated against, or disciplined for using their preferred curriculum and materials.”
We can also safely assume the things that parents can't know about include "child grooming," "what's your kink?" and the ever popular "sex with a student" day.
This is all supported by Porky and the Springfield Perverts.

Department Heads and the school's administration, usually APs, draw up a subject area's curriculum based on state standards. Then, teachers use the curriculum as a guide to put together each claseses' lesson plans for the year. Think a 36-week book of daily lesson plans.
Now, this crazy ass CTU wants each teacher to decide on their curriculum, especially as most CPS teachers absolutely hate using the $160M Skyine curriculum because it differs from and how they want to teach their classes.
What you're going to have are multiple curriculums taught by each teacher in each subject department.

This Sexual abuse crap happens every where and hard to trust others with your kids for which I volunteer at my kids school. There are several issues I've brought up to the principal and the idiot does not pay any attention and ignores me. I just hope nothing is ever done to my kids because I will make one phone call and HELL will brake loose. Some might say why not transfer them, well in this enviroment, this school they know who I am but yet they don't just like at work.

One thing is for sure is quite a bit of CPS teachers are unable to teach their classes online if there's a pandemic or a snow day. And CPS can't figure out how to track laptops and tech devices even though they had a tracking system setup to use.
CPS lost 77,505 laptops and tech devices and they contend in FOIA Requests they can't give per school inventory stats as they don't have those numbers. Yet the CPS OIG was able to go through CPS inventory records to show 77,505 lost laptops and tech devices at a cost of over $23M. CPS OIG said 36 (THIRTY SIX) CPS schools lost ALL their laptops and tech devices.
The online learning during the pandemic lasted over 1 1/2 years for CPS and while a ton of gym, art, and music teachers drew $100,000+ salaries and many with Master's degrees, most of them didn't know how to teach online and gave tons of independent work to their students via email.
The nonsense with the CTU wanting teachers to be able to choose their own curriculum is just another way to help cover for poor teachers, allow for radical subjects to be taught, and for teachers to not adhere to CPS or their administrators.
Did you know CPS will not give documents to FOIA Requests asking for lesson plans or curriculums of each school and/or teacher. CPS claims such information is confidential and exempt (at public school). This from a school system where teachers' bios aren't on schools' websites for people to see who their teachers are and what are their qualifications and experiences.
Ladies and Gentlemen, CPS is a public school in name only most times as far as them giving up information and documents.
All investigators in the Juarez High School killings know this all too well as CPS and their school administrators run interference to hide the truth, cover up poor oversight, and limit liability. This while fostering a CPS Code of Silence.
Targets of the Left have been the educational system and media. They infiltrated and took over the educational system in America and media, then stamped out all opposing voices. "Forget your history." We are living in 1984.

When my wife taught there, she was 22 years old, straight out of college. She finished high school early, attended college on scholarship from the state, and finished college early, ready to change the world.
Her male students would say, “Yo Miss G, you should be a porn star”, as if it were a compliment. Most of her female students were pregnant, as were the cheerleaders. One 14 year old was pregnant with her second child, “Mama say that how we make money”.
After teaching these bricks sex education for two full weeks, they had to take a test. None of them passed. Simple questions like, “What is a condom”?
When the majority of a population values being a dumbfuck and hates “smart” people for being normal, it is time to bail.
Just one more reason to abolish public education.
Close all the Chicago public schools and send the students to Milton Academy in Massachusetts where Fatass went. It would be cheaper.

Wait until this week in CPS high schools. It's known as 'do-nothing' week where most teachers and staff show up and hang out with little to no students in their buildings as final exams ended last Friday. But everyone gets paid their full day's pay.
Some schools have PE Field or Carnival Days and kids that do show up play sports, make bracelets, or watch movies. Prosser, Steinmetz, Lake View, and Von Steuben have four days thus week like this.
Kids can't read or write, get socially promoted, and grades are given away.
There was a class at the Academy, and the instructor asked all of us who went to college if we were taught how to think or what to think almost the whole class said what to think!

One of the worst decisions I've made was sending our daughter to Jones College Prep. Sure, it's solidly in the top 10 Illinois high schools academically, and it was not the $12k+ of a Marist or a McAuley, but the CPS indoctrination transformed my middle-of-the-road kid into a left-wing zealot.
I've had a number of people telling me that I should be a porn star. It is still under consideration.

Hell no!! I don't want those little shit heads in my neighborhood and going to school with my kids. You wanna pay for their tuition, fine. Pay for my kids, too. And private school isn't going to suddenly turn ghetto kids into doctors and engineers. It's much more of a deep seeded problem than that. Sorry to hear. But this is a real fear for any parent these days. Hearing these stories and watching neighbors’ kids transform into liberal mentals is terrible. Wouldn’t want to raise children in the failed state of US of A.
Actual CPS teacher here: Skyline is an egregiously wome mess of a curriculum. 8th grade English is focused on “decolonization” and most of the year is spent reading the Black Panther graphic novel. Almost nothing published in the 20th century is read. One story by Ray Bradbury in 7th grade is about it for grammar school. No standard folk or fairy tales in primary, just books about children whose illegal fathers have been deported. Almost no white main characters either. Each grade has a book that centers on hijab wearing, though. Each grade also has a trans propaganda book too. In K it’s “when Aidan Became a Brother” (you can look it up on Amazon).
Educationally, it’s a mess too, particularly the math portion.
Most teachers I know support the CTU because of its traditional role in ensuring we get benefits and fair treatment. I don’t know of any that support the CTU’s sticking their nose into other issues.

Here's what a few high schools aren't doing the last 3-5 of the 2023-24 school year.
Von Steuben HS done with makeup final exams on Monday, June 3. The 4 student attendance days this week are 'do-nothing' in terms of no graded work or testing. Kids come to school and text their friends and hangout all day long. Thursday June 6th is Von Steuben's Carnival Days where $10,000+ of taxpayers money is spent on food, soft drinks, popcorn machines, and huge blowup jumping house or big blowup boxing gloves toys. Von Steuben has a 68% graduation rate.
Prosser HS had their makeup exams and grades in by last Friday, May 31st. This week is a lot of 'do-nothing' for 4 student attendance days as Prosser has PE Field Days. Basically, open gym for 4 days this week.
Steinmetz HS tops them both Von and Prosser as their grades were in last Thursday May 30th. Steinmetz will have a total of 5 'do-nothing' days on May 30, June 3-6. Steinmetz graduation rate is 65%, meaning 35% of their kids dropout or become super seniors next year.
What's planned at Steinmetz is day camp like activities with extra food (besides the already free breakfast and lunch for 95% of students) bought for students, teachers, and staff on the taxpayers dime for 5 days
All employees at Von Steuben, Prosser, and Steinmetz are paid their full salaries to just show up and hangout to lunch time, take 2 hour lunches, and come back and watch movies in their rooms or AUD. Many teachers and staff swipe in at starting time, go home, and either come back to swipe out or have someone swipe them out.
Conversely, Lane Tech has their last day of makeup exams on Thursday, June 6 and it's the last day of school. Lane's graduation rate is 96%.
CPS waste at it's best.
