- The city installed parking boxes and signs along a very short stretch of Washington Blvd the other day. Almost like it was only the 1400 block. Anyone seen the ticket writers out there in force yet?
We remember parking at the Plumber's Hall for union meetings. Is that courtesy still extended to us? It isn't that far a walk and the unions ought to stick together.

There are LAZ parking meter signs and pay boxes where the city never has meters in the past. Also, how much is the city paying the parking meter people to add all of these bike lanes? There has to be like 60 years left on this contract. I'm not sure I'm gonna make it

The Plumber's union local 130 says it’s ok for you public servants to park in their 4 acre parking lot for free. You better remember their kindness and consideration. Catanzara would be smart to reach out to Jim Coyne and ask if he would allow catanzara to shadow him for a few weeks and learn how to properly and professionally lead a “union”. Why doesn’t the city council propose buying the Skyway, or the parking meters back? A long term view that would be profitable. It could be funded by selling bonds or real estate currently not in use.
People park there and walk to United center
Our current FOP has alienated the plumbers just as it has the fireman and every other union. They built a beautiful parking garage that we cant use.

I had to pay $1.25 to park in my town today. Get this, the tolls get spent on our roads. Crazy, huh?

I think we need an obelisk exactly where that solar meter is. About the same diameter as one of those tubes you get from Home Depot. Who really cares?? Everything around there is paid parking. Guess whatt. If that tiny stretch of parking was free parking there would never ever be an available spot because every resident and business owner or customer to anything in that area, including bulls and hawks games would have those free spots locked down 24/7. Such whiners and complainers. FOP should sell the building. It’s prime real estate and could get a buttload of money for it. Move into something in a reasonable neighborhood and make a lot of money. The current location sucks for all no matter if from the north or south.

FYI the parking boxes were removed today. The crew taking them down states this is the 1st time they have ever removed pay boxes before they became operational.
