- Protestors gathered outside Chicago police headquarters on Saturday to call for justice and police reforms following the fatal shooting of Sonya Massey, a Springfield woman who was killed by a deputy who responded to her 911 call in early July.
Rally organizers stood in solidarity with the Massey family and let them know they were not alone as they marched alongside police headquarters, calling for justice and change.
Well let's see....the CPD didn't shoot her, the Sangamon County deputy who did was promptly fired, then the body-cam video was released and he was charged with murder.
Now the court case plays out - you know, that pesky "due process" thing everyone insists on.
But the protest is in front of CPD HQ?
We're confused.

How about the city get these checks correct for fucks sake!! If it's not union dues taken out on the wrong dates, it's more taxes taken out because they allegedly didn't take out enough from another check!

Is anybody protesting where the incident happened? Probably not because the police out there actually enforce laws as far as permits and things of that nature. The copper in the article has been arrested. He has been charged end of story nothing else to say, move along, nothing else to see! With the coming democratic shit storm this is just another thing they can add to their quiver to destroy the city west Chicago has always been the bastard child. And with the mayor we have in charge, he even allows all the illegal criminals to be just dumped here everywhere he doesn’t stand up for anybody but yet he has a 200+ army of Chicago police officers, which could better be used to may be in force some laws.

As the election approaches the media needs to find an innocent victim of systemic racism from the police to martyr. This is why the usual suspects organize "demonstrations" in Chicago, New York, etc even though the incident had nothing to do with any of these cities. ABSOLUTELY nothing. Has nobody looked at the breakdown that Andrew Branca (Law of Self-Defense) did with the video? Harper had raised the poor of boiling water to her shoulder and threw it at the deputy, based on the video and water that flew from the pot over the chair between them. He may be guilty of various things, but it looks like a defensive shoot. Whether any jury is willing to get in the way of St. Floyd '24 is an open question, sadly.

There has been a "Justice for Sonya Massey" circus in Springfield since the day after the incident.
Local print shops are making out like bandits with all the T shirts and banners.
It as really nice of all those peoples employers to give them time off work.
