Everyone wants answers, even before the investigation is complete:
The family of a Plainfield teen fatally shot by Chicago police early Sunday are looking for answers.
Alex Angel Cortez, 16, left Sunday afternoon to go to a party with some friends in the Pilsen neighborhood. His father, Fulgencio Cortez, said he never imagined the teen wouldn’t return home.
This is the on-view "Shots Fired" and cops are confronted by two individuals with guns. We're told there were a bunch of holes in the squad car and Officers returned fire, killing one gunman and recovering the weapon while discovering two shooting victims in a car nearby.
Near where officers heard the gunshots, a man and a woman were found inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. They were taken to area hospitals in critical condition.
Police had no update on their conditions Monday.
Officials determined Alex was one of the gunmen who opened fire on the vehicle, according to police.
You know how "officials" make that determination?
- witnesses and video footage;
- gun in the pocket or hand of the dead guy;
- spare ammo and magazines on the person;
- gun shot residue tests on the hands of the shooter
Anyone want to guess how many of the above were positive?
Parenting 101 tip - if you move your kid out of the $hithole to avoid gang influences, you probably shouldn't let him go back there to visit the exact influences you moved him away from.

Plainfield was combines and tractors going down main st 25 years ago. The whole South side moved out here to leave dude and the democrats behind. Import the ghetto become the ghetto. Non stop houses from the lake to rt 47 in Yorkville. All the gangs and drugs and layabout theives well represented. Time to move again. Friday and Sunday nights on I 55 are jammed with homies going back and forth to the city. Nobody speaks English here anymore either.
Would be nice if the news media would actually do their job and publish the evidence about the kid being a shithead....

Several years ago, and young perp pulled a pistol from his waist band, and opened fire on a St. Louis, MO officer. Not wanting to be the next Officer Wilson, the cop (formerly a member of the USMC pistol team) held his fire until fired on again...At which time he dropped the perp.
Said perp's friends stated that he was in fact carrying a turkey sandwich in his waist band. When the physical evidence was examined by the University of Missouri at Columbia, the turkey sandwich was determined to have left GSR behind.
Go figure.

Maybe the money from the "lottery" can reimburse the taxpayers for any and all medical expenses for those he shot, ambulance expenses which average citizens are charged for their sudden emergencies and the costs from the subsequent law enforcement investigation. It would be public money derived from civil litigation just being redirected to pay for all of this human collateral damage and the associated costs passed onto taxpayers. Its only fair that government be compensated.
If the family can collect on his death, why can't they be responsible for the costs associated with his violent criminal actions? Like an equitable leveling the playing field two way street. The family should have skin in the game like some sort of financial accountability. Not only should the people he shot be compensated, but officers who suffer the emotional horror, the emotional scarring the officers and their families will re-live for the rest of their lives. The police were victims too after being shot at with their lives and their families well being at stake. Courageous law enforcement professionals ran towards the gunfire ending additional violence before an aspiring homicidal murderer could rack up a greater human toll.
Law isn't about what is right or what is wrong. Its where the most lucrative, advantageous legal opportunity to collect federal reserve big amounts of cash money can be exploited through the corrupt "justice" system from the federal level down to the state level. Most law abiding citizens would condemn the act of giving money to accomplished violent criminals and raise an strong objection. Enough is enough already. Good people are silent for way too long.
But our politicians don't object and nor is their a "moral" outrage by judges, the bar association or everyday dime a dozen lawyers. Money is the mother's milk for an absolutely corrupted-forever system of justice. Money talks. Actually money roars. Right and wrong along with morality walks.

This happened right in front of the Pilsen branch of CPL, and most of the library's windows were shot out. Now boarded up. If the State of Illinois can prosecute the father of that Lake Forest nutjob who shot up the July 4th parade, can't the City of Chicago at least sue Mr. Fulgencio Cortez of Plainfield for the cost of replacing all those windows, at Unionized City Worker rates?

I Google curfew for 16yos in Chicago. It came up with 11pm unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Was mom or dad with the kid? A guardian?
