Yes, Please

A non-lethal automated paintball / nylon bullet / pepper-ball / beanbag gun?

  • South Africa ranks third in Africa on the Global Organized Crime Index. Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban are among the most dangerous cities in the country, suffering from high levels of violent crime, carjackings, robberies, and murders.

Given the South African government's inability to protect individuals and businesses from the chaos, one South African company has developed a non-lethal remote control gun mounted on light poles that shoots intruders.

Johannesburg-based Sublethal developed the non-lethal remote-control gun that fires standard .68 caliber paintballs with solid nylon bullets or pepper balls.

The embedded videos are amusing to watch,

The headline claims San Francisco might be the first US city to implement these, but we can't see that $hithole allowing robotic guns to do what they won't even let the police do.

Fact is, the places that need them the most, won't allow them, mostly because it would deprive them of a cop to blame.

Tampon Tim knows about paintballs.

"Tim Walz’s curfew order spreading out in a Minneapolis neighborhood and peppering residents with paintballs while they stood on their porches and in their front doorways."

Did Tim Walz authorize law enforcement to use paint balls during the mostly peaceful St Floyd protests? Were they used to enforce his COVID quarantine? Some articles claim that is true but just as quickly the fake news said the story is "fake news."

There's so many great tools, weapons and gear out there that we will never be allowed to use. Remember when our LRAD vehicle was brought out for show every now and again? {snicker} It was supposed to be the greatest non-lethal force multiplier. We never used it. Not once. Even during NATO or the 2020 riots. What a joke.

It will never fly here. They don't even use water cannons here which by the way are very effective, don't kill and don't injure. Events such as DNC should have water cannons which have been widely used in Europe and worldwide. Once the shithead is wet - they will get cold. Then it's just a matter of time before they leave. Check the video HERE

Fun to see, but fact is there are no laws your betters will not allowed to be broken, except anything that is directed towards them. They're bubble people, they live in a giant thought bubble of imagined grievance. It's easier than confronting their stupidity

Need those on every corner in 016, since there's no police patrolling up there.

I heard in Detroit, a company called OCP (Omni Consumer Products) tried out an ED-209 droid to replace police, but it ended up killing a bunch of civilians. So, they are going with some new program called Robocop. It sounds promising. Good luck, Detroit.

I just wonder if anyone who was hit with one of these paintballs while on their own property sued for damages? On your porch or in your yard and you are attacked by law enforcement for being outside? Sounds like a massive win if there was a suit.

I am a very conservative but somewhat progressive Generation Z law enforcement/public safety professional in Glencoe and I support this device being available subject to full scope background checks including social media posts, a demonstrated necessity to possess it, liaibility Insurance, licensing, also agreement from your closest four neighbors and the concurrence of your local police chief. This approval would not be delegated.

South Africa was pretty prosperous before, and violent crime was high in isolated areas - ahem - much like Detroit in the 1940s and 50s. Things changed in both locations for the same reason.

No WallsWalz had his cops stand down and let the city burn for 4 days- they took no action against rioters, looters, arsonists. When he finally issued a curfew order, he had his police out shooting paintball guns against his city residents, who were just standing on their porch. This is who is slated to become the second in command of the U.S.
