CTU Priorities are F#$%ed Up
Someone needs to come in with an axe and go through the CPS/CTU budgeting processes:
The Chicago Teachers’ Union, like Nazis, Islamic terrorists, and diseased ferret owners, are always angry.
After demanding $145,000 salaries, free Ozempic, and turning every school into an illegal alien shelter/Green New Deal lab, they still haven’t gotten everything they wanted. Like free sex changes and “more queer competent” employees. Also secretly transitioning students.
Now CTU is shrieking that a “contract that protects queer & trans students and ensures affirming, inclusive curriculum is what our students deserve” and tweeted a video of a transgender man at a CTU rally demanding “fully funded bilingual education”, and claiming that “if our schools aren’t safe for queer and trans adults, how can they be safe for our queer and trans students?”
All this, as the article further notes:
- ...80% of Chicago public school students can’t do math.
And even more that can't read a grade level.
But we'll guarantee that the schools portion of our property taxes will be maxed out for the umpteenth time in a row as enrollment continues to decline and the generationally ignorant wonder why they can't get a decent paying job.

Close all the schools and start from scratch.
CPS no longer educates, they indoctrinate.
Just go to vouchers already city would save so much and kids would actually learn. Don’t care about these dumb fuck teachers let them be jobless they don’t teach anyways

The decision needs to be made at the federal level to ban the teachers from ever striking. They would be like the police, firemen, or air traffic controllers. CTU has become the Communist Teachers Union. When 80% of kids are not proficient in math and reading it’s time to reimagine teaching.
When the Fed audits and finds the inflated student numbers the grift will end. There will be blood in the streets when notices start getting handed out.

but the good news is that Chicago public schools have a new record of graduating high school kids that cannot read or write yet they were on the honor roll
When many parents are functionally illiterate, what do you expect from their offspring? Social promotion is rampant to keep jobs for CTU staffing in half-empty buildings.
Do all these bogus programs improve reading and math scores? Not at all. Never forget Mayor Brandon Johnson is a deadbeat who couldn’t pay his bills on time. Some legacy.

Sounds more like time for layoffs.
Less students means less teachers needed. Consolidate school buildings, close ones not fully used.
Does the CTU really control that many votes? How many can that really be? Maybe be have been scammed.
This type of mindset is exactly what got Trump elected. The entire country with the exception of a few shit hole cities are sick and tired of this bull shit. How in the world do these bush league educators not only demand this nonsense , but also get most of it?
The state could do it also. But, don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen.
I could never in good conscience submit my child to an inferior education such as that
If you can't do the math, you cannot will not go down an accomplished path
If you can't blaze that academic trail, chances are you gonna fail
