Banana Republic Inbound

Remember how the dems and their tame pets in the media were warning everyone about the lawlessness of a second Trump administration along with the intervening four years of lawfare, surveilling parents attending school board meetings, imprisoning grandparents praying at abortion clinics and holding "rioters" arrested for trespassing (while being guided by DC police) in jail for years on end?

Now they're talking about issuing blanket pardons for people who haven't even been investigated:

  • President Joe Biden’s senior aides are conducting a vigorous internal debate over whether to issue preemptive pardons to a range of current and former public officials who could be targeted with President-elect Donald Trump’s return to the White House, according to senior Democrats familiar with the discussions.

Biden’s aides are deeply concerned about a range of current and former officials who could find themselves facing inquiries and even indictments, a sense of alarm which has only accelerated since Trump last weekend announced the appointment of Kash Patel to lead the FBI. Patel has publicly vowed to pursue Trump’s critics.

Of course, Patel has vowed no such thing. Criticism isn't a crime. He has said he'll go after those who broke laws, which is NOT what the fbi and the "DoJ" has been doing the past four years.

But even the fact that they're seriously considering this is antithetical to the Rule of Law and the presumption if innocence until proven guilty in a court of law. Should this come to pass, the feds or any party could come in with the intent to break the law knowing that they'd be pardoned in the end and face no consequences.

Kind of like what Crimesha, Prickwrinkle, Conehead and Fata$$ have been doing to Chicago, Cook County, Illinois for the past number of years, though instead of pardons, they use non-prosecution, knowing that they'll never face a hostile opposition.

Democrats have no respect for the rule of law!
Power, money, influence while hiding behind a curtain!
Look at every elected Democrat in Cook County, a mirror image of the ruling class of the past four years.

Senate DOGE leader Ernst to take on government telework abuse at first meeting with Musk, Ramaswamy
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/senate-doge-caucus-take-government-telework-abuse-first-meeting-musk-ramaswamy

* we could easily do this with the city of Chicago. Hey wait a minute how about we do this with our own Pension Board which is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in rent for a building that will keep increasing every year talk about a sweetheart deal that needs to be investigated. We have open space at the FOP hall. Why not let them rent an office in there they don’t need this big expensive space and when you call there, they don’t even answer the darn phone half the time are they working from home? Are they still doing this bullshit? It’s our money, ladies and gentlemen we need to keep an eye on it. Why are they allowed to abuse it like this make the move. They could use smaller space and save our pension fund, which is very well underfunded millions of dollars it is our money after all.

So if it’s already been established that Potato Joe isn’t fit to run the country (the Dems ran their “best” horse in CamelToe), how can he possibly be of sound enough mind to make any decisions?

So you and your people commit all the crimes you want during ( and before) your presidency. Then issues pardons for your (and their) entire life so you can never be held accountable for any of it. Setting a bad precedent. If If Trump had done this there would of been outrage. Millions of dollars would of been saved by all the weaponization of the justice department against all the republicans. A lot of people soon to be pardoned by Trump who were wrongly charged and “convicted” by Bidens people. You know, the same ones who won’t be held accountable for any of their actions. It’s just unfortunate their lives had to be destroyed by the Biden crime family and associates.

We are witnessing a theory I postulated decades ago called "The Big Chunk Theory." We all like to think we are normal, law abiding, common sense people. But we know we have done shady things in the past...for the common good of course. And if we have done shady things in the past, just think what others have done that don't have my high moral character (insert Trump here). Us high moral types are afraid that Trump with take a hatchet to us, the same way we took a hatchet to him...which we did for the common good of course. What we (insert Biden/Democrats here) have failed to realize is that we are the biggest chunk(s) in the toilet bowl. I wonder if college level sociology course have explored this concept in their courses?

When Democrats legitimized and encouraged rioting and looting as a form of political expression, they opened up a mess of trouble that is coming back to bite them in the backside years later.

They need to be charged and found guilty in order to receive a pardon. Oh and did I mention the charges they get charged and found guilty of have to be federal crimes. In other words they know full well they committed federal crimes against President Trump, and know they are goin to be charged and thrown in federal prison for it.

Not a full pardon but near enough.

https://miguelgg.substack.com/p/tell-me-again-we-have-the-best-justice

A CBS News investigation found dozens of law enforcement leaders — sheriffs, captains, lieutenants, chiefs of police — buying and illegally selling firearms, even weapons of war, across 23 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., from the Deep South to the Midwest, Northeast and California coast.

And this is where I lose my mind:

"We're not looking to prosecute fellow law enforcement officers," said Eric Harden, former special agent in charge of the ATF's Los Angeles field division.

Harden authored the 2017 memo, which flagged a "growing trend" of "officers purchasing and then selling [restricted] firearms...for profit." The memo warned that anyone doing this was functionally acting as a straw purchaser in violation of at least two federal laws.

Now retired, Harden still remembers that officer crying on his shoulder when federal agents showed up to arrest him for illegally selling more than 100 weapons out of his home. The officer argued at the time that he didn't know he was breaking the law, but he later pleaded guilty. He served less than a year in federal prison and paid a $10,000 fine but was allowed to keep his Porsche and Alfa Romeo.

Every weapon sold illegally is a minimum 5 year and a maximum of 10 in Federal prison. The Crying Cop served less than a year on a potential minimum of 100 years and that is not a just miscarriage of Justice by sheer double standard.

The worst part is that nobody in Law Enforcement see this as a bad thing.

(present company excepted)

Nope.
Hunter was pardoned for all crimes known and unknown committed over a period of eleven years.
Technically, the president does NOT have the power to pardon state-level crimes...only federal.
But you can bet your bippy the tame media (and DemonRat pols/LEOs) will not even consider turning over any rocks of that nature.

You are correct. The section of the U.S. Constitution on presidential pardons refers only to a specific offense (that, presumably) has already been charged in court. "Blanket pardons" for "periods of time" is not covered.
