"Escalation" - Ya Think?
The judge saw an issue....but didn't do much about it:

Hughes to five years in federal prison for tossing a stolen machine gun
from a car as he sped from police on the Dan Ryan Expressway at 100 mph,
she told him she was worried about “an escalation of behavior” in his
criminal history, which included drug dealing and gun cases.
Minutes before sentencing, Hughes, 29, told Kendall he was “ready to change now and be a better man for my kids and family.”
“I’m at a point in age where if I don’t wake up now, I never will, and I refuse to let that happen for the sake of my life, my future, and my kids and their future,” Hughes said.
Currently on parole for that machine gun case, Hughes is back in custody, accused of shooting and killing a 62-year-old man on Thanksgiving afternoon.
Project Exile is the only solution,
And a federal death penalty.

By the time these soft as puppy shit leftist county judges get around to actually punishing someone, they've left a long and wide trail of carnage everywhere.
Realistically, how many of these shitheads can be plucked from the soft ass county courts into the federal courts so Trump's new US Attorney can actually prosecute someone?

5 years when he should be facing 20 plus. What a "harsh" sentence. I'm sure after serving 2 years, he'll be a changed man on parole. The change will be the type of gun used in his next violent crime. Let's keep giving these shitbags extra chances.

And where did he get the gun from ??? Our ability to question these guys and get information from them has been severely diminished due to the linient sentences they face ! Knowing even they'll be offered a soft plea deal just to plead guilty gives them no reason to offer up information to assist in any other investigations ! I know some will never talk to the police ! But some will if they know they're facing significant time !

Kim Foxx loses law license for failing to comply with continuing education program that attorneys must take to practice law. The article cites that the continuing education would take about 1 hour a month to comply. This was the Cook County State’s Attorney.
