Raggedy Ass Schooling

Don't worry, that manpower shortage isn't anything to worry about:

  • There was a huge police response after a brawl at a South Side high school on Friday.

The fight broke out before noon at the Englewood STEM High School, located at 68th and Normal.

At least four officers were injured while responding to the fight, Chicago police said.

One hundred or more students on three different floors with pepper spray being part of the initial disturbance and pretty much the entire watch held down at the school.

Good times.

Hopefully, all the injuries are minor and everyone is back at work before Christmas.

Geezus, we're doomed.

Comrades of the CTU dont want cops in schools, so why didn't their violence interrupters handle things? Let them bring the combatants outside to the coppers...

Surely you jest!

While I’ll agree with the first half of that statement, I hope any injured copper doesn’t see the inside of a squad car - or ghetto pretend STEM “Academy” for that fact - until February at the earliest. Heal completely and enjoy the holidays with family and friends.

Channel 7 News at 4 pm interviewed a “mother” one of the scholars who related that her baby was “supposed to fight” yesterday. Like it was a scheduled bout to which she knowingly sent her spawn to participate. That clip mysteriously disappeared from subsequent newscasts 😂

And curious minds want to know… was this one of Camel Teefus’s institutions of higher learning which opted out of school officers?

Remember...the CTU and the police-haters don't want our officers arresting CPS students or using a Taser inside a school on one of their violent pets. {snicker} Sounds like any disturbance at a Chicago public school is a great place to earn a nice long IOD vacation. Look, Laugh, Leave

but didn't the public schools ban Chicago police from being in their buildings??? The police should tell the school no, we will obey your rules and not go in, so please tell all those kids fighting to please come outside

Standard English is considered a foreign language in many CPS. Schools. Of course, these miscreants will stay in schools so that CPS will have jobs in mostly empty schools.

"Science, Technology, Engineering, Math... these are the smart kids?"

Englewood STEM High School faces significant challenges, with very low academic performance compared to the district and state averages. In the 2023-2024 school year, only 1.1% of 11th-grade students were proficient or better in SAT Mathematics, and 2.3% were proficient or better in SAT English Language Arts, far below the district and state averages. The school also struggles with low graduation rates, reaching only 62.1% in 2023-2024, and high dropout rates, at 11.1% in 2021-2022. Additionally, the school has an extremely high chronic absenteeism rate of 87.1% in 2023-2024, indicating a significant challenge in student engagement and attendance.

I thought they don’t want our help!!! They don’t cooperate with us at all, if anything they make doing our job more difficult. We should have responded and waited out front and said we will take whoever you want to jail but you bring them out to us, since we are the bad guys and all. F-them, let them hire more security or let their teachers handle it.

Given those lousy statistics - it seems that getting rid of the "STEM Academy" and replacing it with "Remedial Basics Academy" would be a better use of resources.

Bring back Truant Officers - drag those little shits right back to the school or throw them in Juvy where they can attend some classes. Fine the shit out of the Parent(s) too. Put your foot up your kid's ass and get it to school or you're gonna pay AND not get any Welfare.

Forget all that "drop out" bullshit too. Don't allow dropping out until they're 21. Then if they do drop out (and they aren't certifiably retarded), prohibit them from having bank accounts, credit cards, titled property, being employed by anyone, or receiving any welfare. Graduate, get the GED, or fuuuuuuck you - should be the proper response. Stop coddling this bullshit.

One of the parent told the news reporter that her daughter told her she was going to fight at school. Any responsible parent would intervene. But why would they?

Mama hopes and prays for God her daughter get pepper sprayed by police, arrested, and some sort of physical restraint would occur on camera. Then her an her designated attorney can permanently dirty up the reputations of the officers citing excessive force, civil rights violations and calling for an immediate copa investigations on the 10'oclock news, sue the Board of Ed and sue the police department. Mama getting paid .

Every parent dreams of a payout and a morally righteous civil rights attorney getting a cut for the wrongs committed by their offspring. Big payout after mama's failure to intervene disrupting the civil rights of other student preventing them from achieving a Jr. Ivy League equivalent education. This math and advanced science academy reminds me more of a zoo than a scholastic academy rising up the disenfranchised. And a civilized society tolerates this shit and remains silent. Good people need to rise up.

We all know this display of student violence would not have occurred if the Englewood Stem if scholarly studies were not centered around science, Elon Musk rocket technology, advanced engineering and Chinese math . Social justice and civilized societies studies are absent from the curriculum and has been identified by Kamala Harris as a root cause for ongoing violence in her Venn Diagrams.
