Fortunate Son
If you didn't hear the national news Sunday night because you were traveling or eating leftover Thanksgiving turkey, the vegetable "president" pardoned his son on Federal gun and tax evasion charges.
The pardon also stated:
- "For those offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024, including but not limited to all offenses charged or prosecuted....."
That's an ELEVEN YEAR blanket pardon which (unsurprisingly) includes all the kiddie porn on Hunter's laptop along with tens-of-million in laundered Ukrainian money....and also covers the "10% for the Big Guy" whom Hunter may have been compelled to identify and testify against once the drooling dementia patient was out of office.
Going to be an interesting two months coming up.

Funny thing about a pardon. Hunter can no longer claim 5th Amendment protection from being compelled to testify about things that are covered under the pardon since he can't incriminate himself by speaking anymore.
It is nice to see, there is honor among criminals when the co-conspirator takes care of the indicted one…. Jello Brain must be worried about another coup to take him out in the last two months. Everyone knows drunks are dangerously unpredictable.

Hunter can’t claim the Fifth for himself since he’s received a Pardon. Could still face/receive jail time for refusing to testify or for committing perjury. Joe may get off, but he would die knowing his son is behind bars. Justice can come in mysterious ways. That’s if we had an enterprising AG in the Trump Administration! Wishful dreaming. Or maybe drag old Joe through the wringer of illegal removal, retention, use, and dissemination to unauthorized person(s) of United States Classified Documents, while Senator, Vice President, and a civilian.

I get that a sitting President has pardon powers! But when he is using pardon powers to continue the cover up of of treason against the state…..that should be rescinded by the Supreme Court? I see the failure to pay tax or the illegal weapon by drug user charges! But a blanket Pardon for Hunter covers him from any and all crimes? And that is protecting the Biden family from further criminal prosecution? Which is furthering the criminal activity of a sitting president? I say on Inauguration Day, place Joe Biden, his brother and others in handcuffs charging them with money laundering and conspiracy against the US people! And then call in Hunter to grand jury to answer questions? When he refuses to cooperate with questions give him immunity to cooperate if that does not work charge him with contempt of Grand jury?
And let him sit like they have done to January 6th alleged conspirators?

Empanel a federal grand jury and force him to testify. If he fails to do so, hold him in contempt and jail him till the grand jury expires in 18 months...then do it all over again.
Something to think about: between now and Christmas, Joe voluntarily steps down, claiming too much stress, can’t go to the end. That makes Kamala the POTUS. Observation(s): Going back to the Hur investigation, if it was determined that the "subject" should escape any direct legal inquiry, being unable to provide assistance in his own defense (or of this country), how is it, now, that the "subject", is able to provide any meaningful assistance to "anyone else's" defense, when it is highly likely that "either one" of their defenses likely overlap?

IMO, all politicians (Democrat, Republican, and everyone in between) are self-serving and egotistical, believing rules and laws don't a apply to them or theirs. This comes as no surprise. And yes, Biden is way too old for this job, but Trump is no spring chicken either. Although he is mostly functional now (at least he can sort of walk) - just give him a little time and before too long he will be off in vegetable land too. Maybe you were asleep, or just not paying attention, the day they taught this stuff in school. The Supreme Court cannot "rescind" a presidential pardon.

"Mutual combatants" is a Chicago thing.
The legal concept is one of a denial of a right to claim a right to a defense of self- defense when the claimant is also an attacker.
It can not properly be used to excuse the attack itself.
