So word on the street is someone wrote a letter and sent them to 006 commander, captain, DC SB and possibly snelling. Stating they had no faith in their commander and that if the officer that died was black he would have attended the services and he's not a leader. Good ole commander couldn't bother attending anything for one of his fallen officers. Officers in 006 still don't know why he didn't bother showing up. Well boss man was livid and decided to go to roll call and say I'm here talk your shit and went off about how he's been lenient about beards, pants, shoes and earrings. He says again talk now don't hide cuz said letter was anonymous. He continues to say to buckle up cus it's about to get worse. Boss man assumed this letter came from from 3rd watch in 006. Boss man then said no more time off unless DC SB says yes and how he plans to be more strict and people working inside will go outside. How does one assume an ANONYMOUS letter from your watch when it could be from anyone
When someone who works for you dies, you attend the wake, you attend the funeral, and you make sure your face is front-and-center at all the ceremonies honoring the fallen. That's just the way it is. And if you are allegedly have something scheduled, then you reschedule it and eat the cost - you'll get it back somewhere along the way. In Tate's case, he should be paying it back already for all the favors and gifts he's been given over a long career of ignorance.
He wants to blame everyone else for his failure as a commander and - essentially - as a man, and he's going to take it out on everyone else for the foreseeable future. That's pretty much the definition of a bitch.
And if Larritorious let's him get away with it, then he's a bitch, too.

We’re all aware that it was a stupid thing to do but, Superintendent Snelling and Deputy Chief Senora Ben, you have a boiling pot in the 006 District. A commander showed up to roll calls, blasting the entire roll call out, threatened officers that are in mourning and told them that strict punishment is coming their way. Most of the officers had no idea what he was talking about. What are you going to do about it? I know it was stupid and irresponsible, but he did this in-front of the entire roll call. You have to do something to save your tush, because he certainly wasn’t thinking about his or yours. He gives us the impression that he’’s confident that there will be no repercussions behind his actions.
Just to show how incompetent they are, if you’re going to punish everyone, don’t tell them. Now, he does is going to look like a punishment, and for this reason along the commander should be removed. He put his foot in his mouth.

Document how many secretaries,caps officers and other unauthorized officers he has hidden. Document his hours , FOIA the gos on his car , Department issued cell phone, police radio. Merit commanders are not the smartest people on CPD.
Merit tate's actions were a slap in the face to Officer Enrique Martinez's family. A member of the command staff neglects to pay tribute to a fallen brother in the line of duty with honor and distinction. Its not only disrespectful to the fallen officer and his family, but all men and women in our blue family across the country.
The culture of an organization is set at the top and tate's actions leads one to question whether he has the tenacity to accept the role of a leader or just collect the big checks. Its truly an indictment on exempt leadership. Start impeachment hearings in the city council on this failed public servant wearing a gold star and remove him from a position of responsibility.
Maybe we should get a public statement from the Consent Decree cabal. After all, federal oversight has answers for everything. Maybe they can opine on leadership and human decency and include their opinion in their glossy yearly anal report . Has merit Tate has fulfilled Calea law enforcement standards or will some newly assembled commission be funded to address the leadership quagmire and the questionable merit selection process?
If you are close with the Superintendent or being taken care of, please try not to do anything stupid that might embarrass him or cause him to have to make an example out of you stupid. 006 is such a joke and has been for a long time. Used to be a great place to work with great bosses on every level. In the last 5 years it has turned into a high school on steroids especially on third watch/tac. “Older offices” who have 8-9 years are assholes/catty with the newer officers because they are now getting all the attention from male officers and bosses alike. Stupid drama led to bad policing and infighting amongst the watch. The bitter ladies are just shacking up with one of the guys who took them down several years ago while their buddies wonder why would you marry someone that even the bosses ran through. I’m glad I left that place last year when it was already a sinking ship. Now it’s at the bottom of the ocean
