A McKinley Park woman who lost her cat in January said he's been sitting dead for weeks on top of her neighbor's roof, and she hasn't been able to get him back.
Jadine Wambaja shared surveillance video footage showing a cat somehow landing on her neighbor's roof. She believes it's her cat, Scarface. "He was flung like he was garbage up on the roof," Jadine Wambaja said. "In the video, you see the cat tossed up, and seconds later, if you look at the man's back door, you could see someone walk inside."
The aldercreature posted video of the subject tossing the dead cat on the roof (if you find a working link, post it). The back yard looks like a disaster and the article further states the occupant isn't opening hte door and seems to have barricaded it shut.

Doesn't the fire side rescue cats in the trees and receive heroism awards for their bravery? I work at a suburban department and last week we started the CESSA program for calls like this. Basically it’s to avoid sending officers and get mental health services to come out. Google CESSA. It’s quite interesting but it puts dispatchers in a huge liability. In the end the people who say they needed mental health services instead of police will then say they needed the police after all.
Here is an idea. Quit watching video if it’s disturbing. When cat smells bad the asshole will remove it himself. Leave the recluse alone because confrontation sounds like a recipe for trouble.

You would think the alderman would don a orange City of Chicago reflective safety vest, a body worn camera, commandeer an OSHA approved City of Chicago ladder, slip into a pair of fashionable Carhart carpenter jeans with the belt loops for his hammer, tape measure etc., put on a pair of tan untied Timberland work boots with the visible tag validating legit boots and not knockoffs, and a miner's hardhat with with a brilliant headlamp. Oh the optics! Ensure the press has arrived to memorialize this tragedy and show the middleclass this problem solving alderman is just like them. C'mon alderman this is not difficult to climb a ladder and get this B.S. over putting an immediate end to this nonsense and stop grandstanding. Maybe this "tragedy" sheds light on the disrepair of C.F.D. fire trucks unavailable for service much like the democrat ruined City of Lost Angeles who had a large percentage of fire equipment broken down unavailable for use during their version of the Chicago Fire. Maybe the alderman should spin this into a call for action addressing the immediate repair of all fire and police vehicles. The alderman could step up to the plate and advocate D.O.G.E.-like audits of maintenance schedules, monetary appropriations and overall efficiencies. That's actual leadership for Chicago solving real municipal problems on a grand scale.

if you abuse an animal it’s not that a big of a leap to other types of violence. I’ve a soft spot for animals & it never ceased to amaze me how many guys/gals would laugh at or blow off animal abuse jobs. I had a woman who stabbed a cat job one time. The woman was staying in her relative’s house and they were trying to get her out, she in turn repaid their kindness by stabbing the cat. Turned out she was doing all kinds of insane stuff like marking corners with her urine, weird shit with food and had lost custody of her kids. Just arrest them- let a judge have it on their conscience if they don’t put the psychopath under a 3 day mental health evaluation. Yes, the mental health system is broken and there is no place to put them, but is anything ever going to change if you don’t record those events?

I agree people are getting ridiculous about their pets, and I’ve had and loved several dogs, so I don’t hate animals. So yeah it’s gotten ridiculous with the “fur baby” shit. But it’s not outrageous to be a little disturbed watching somebody toss a cat they just killed on their roof.
