We ended up going through over 400 comments, and to be frank there were quite a few that needed deletion, most obviously from outsiders who dislike the CPD and were steered here by certain anti-cop posts elsewhere. It's just one of those things.

Light posting and light work this week for CPS high school students and teachers.
All grades were due Friday 06/05, meaning little to no students in school buildings this week for 4 days through Thursday.
Since grades are sent electronically, there's no reason for kids to show up this week and teachers will be paid to sit around and binge watch Netflix TV shows.
Some high schools have already turned all grades in (including Seniors) last Monday.
How do CPS high schools get away with this? Expect more.mob gatherings all this week with the hot weather.
Pray for Rain and hope we can remain SANE.

SCC, you should do another follow up post and question why Mark Chapulis of 2FM still has a job. This is guy in charge of maintenance of the police departments helicopters and police boats.
The city assets that he refuses to perform basic maintenance on and therefor are u down and costing the city more money because ignoring scheduled maintenance is causing more damage to the boats and helicopters.
The Marine Unit now has one working boat.
This is also the person in charge who lost a million dollar grant to refurbish a boat that has been useless for 3 years. The grant was awarded years ago and has now been lost since he did not have the refurbishment completed.
I hope they find out who's leaking where the officers are going and who's funding this. This needs to stop and the politicians endorsing this need to be arrested and prosecuted.
It’s sad we just continually allow people on this department to be promoted because of merit promotions. They not only get one bite, but multiple bites of the merit tree. Then when they become gold stars they walk around acting like they are full of knowledge. Truly destructive to the department.
Let’s post the last few sergeant/lieutenant classes and list each merit on SCC. Then let’s look up where they are currently at… all units or inside spots. They were selected for merit because they are such great leaders yet none work the street.

Now, I get that idea. But for me that is not entirely factual. I've done: Public School teaching, Cable TV service calls, rental maintenance, public contracts. Whatever cops have seen, I've seen it before you showed up. We called you to clean up.
