Chicago Teachers Union President Stacy Davis Gates wants the “wealthy” to pay their “fair share,” but despite her $265,150 income she just can’t seem to pay her home utility bills on time.
Davis Gates has let $1,006.95 in Chicago water, sewer and trash bills pile up, according to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by the Illinois Policy Institute on June 30.
She did the same thing last year.
Davis Gates’ past-due bills piled up for over three years and hit nearly $5,700 at one point, the institute discovered last year. The city invoked repeated delays in providing her billing information, and Davis Gates paid up just before the information was released to the institute.
Well, when you live in Indiana and get Indiana tax breaks, you tend to let other bills slip your mind.
She's making more in a single year that we ever did in two years and we can proudly say we never missed a water bill. That's probably why we won't run for mayor.

It’s a way of life. There are some people on our job paying more for their car than mortgage, buying designer sunglasses, vacations every 3 months and they are on payment plans with their utilities.
Susanna Mendoza is definitely running for mayor.
She supports the police 100%. When her brother (who is a detective now) got sick from covid and the city refused to help him. Susanna Mendoza helped him.
She is 100% pro police.
Seems to be a ctu thing. A clear answer as to why they are constantly in a budget crisis. Was evident with conehead , who was also incapable of managing his personal finances, yet they still elected him.
We are also held accountable for missing those payment.
The Contrarian is reporting SDG is headed to be the next president of the Illinois Federation of Teachers at a salary of $500K a year. SDG is already the IFT's VP and shell maintain her CTU presidency for both the salary and CPS teacher pension credits.
SDG and MBJ have been on-loan to the CTU from CPS since 2011.
Will she pay her city water then or does she consider paying her bills like tipping services at a restaurant? If you thought Scottie 'No Tippin' Pippen was a bad tipper, my neighbor said SDG is worst as she lives nearly $0 when dining out with her posse of lone wolves.

Well after Rahm Emmanuel lived in Washington DC and rented his Chicago home out. The Illinois Supreme Court said that his Chicago home was still his Illinois residence? But that was back when Ed Burk’s wife Ann was a Supreme Court judge. So anything is legal in Illinois if your connected?
Math, paying your bills, showing up on time for work are all racist, Western social constructs.
If I, a nobody Chicago Cop missed a $5700 dollar water bill and then a $1009 bill surely it would make some sor t of newspaper only because of my police status. However our newspapers will miss this one.
