We are freaking speechless at the moment - we thought these days were long gone:
Prosecutors have charged seven men with felony murder, saying they were part of a crash-and-grab burglary crew that killed a motorist while fleeing a break-in at the Louis Vuitton store on Michigan Avenue this week.
Most of the men have significant arrest records, but one of them, according to an individual familiar with the investigation, works as an anti-violence “peacekeeper.”
Just before 5 a.m. Thursday, a group of burglars backed a pickup truck into a display window at the high-end retailer’s Mag Mile location, 919 North Michigan Avenue. Video shows several men running through the compromised storefront and running out with trash bags filled with merchandise. Prosecutors believe that merchandise valued at between $500,000 and $1 million was taken.
Chicago police officers arrived as the crew fled the scene in up to six vehicles.
And look at that - another "peacekeeper." Likely paid by Conehead using Chicago taxpayer money. How much was that budget shortage again?
But hats off to the States Attorney for actually doing her job trying to uphold the law and protect innocent victims. We have no idea what the Evans-Prickwrinkle corrupted DEI judicial branch will do, but O'Neill Burke gets full credit for charging everyone according to the Law.

The BS “anti violence peacekeepers” are one of the biggest scams played on Chicago taxpayers. CPS would be the biggest scam.
Could the tide be changing? Is it too early to hope that citizens might once again see some real change that criminals will be actually, really, be held accountable? Instead of being released to do it all over again?
Thank You States Attorney Eileen O'Neil Burke for applying the law to those who habitually disregard the law. We need to get down to the basics again putting criminals on notice. Unfortunately, we cannot bring back the life that was lost. But prosecutors can assure justice will be sought in a court of law.
I don't want her to run for governor. We need an ASA that charges according to the law in the face of the left tards out there getting soft on crime.
There must be some agreement those "peacekeepers" have to sign, like not committing crime? Please tell me there's a clause for additional charges.

This is the best way to end this stuff. Years ago shoplifters and thieves on Michigan Avenue were routinely upgraded to felonies. There was a drop in property crimes on Michigan Avenue because the word got out that it wouldn’t be tolerated.

That’s a big piece of puzzle back in place. Now we need judges to start handing out something meaningful sentences to violent crimes. Consecutive sentences should be the norm. Someone who gets indicted and convicted of 4 separate armed robberies at the same time should not be getting 10 years concurrent. Out in 5 or less depending on time served. Ridiculous.

Wasn't felony murder taken off the books when the safe-t act was passed? It sounds good, but it's unenforceable and will be dismissed immediately if so. It's good press for the SA, but a neutered criminal justice system run by the cabal will make these killers eligible for bond by the middle of next week.
