When will Spiro be moved from 050 ? He is totally incompetent. And has displayed his inability to managed the airport on a daily basis. The unit has officers responding to found credit cards and found keys it’s an absolute joke. He is so out of touch he has no idea what the men and woman are responding to on 3rd watch. It’s an absolute joke. Please send us someone with some balls and common sense that can clean up the unit for the better of everyone.

The Quarterman promotion is a replay of the Barz promotion “I’m a Commander and other Commanders don’t/wont listen to me” nonsense. Started with A/5 John Foster at a deployment and went full tilt at certain districts & areas.
Labbe is good choice albeit an unexpected choice for this department since every one of his promotions have been by score.
When are all these changes supposed to take place ? Disbanding the mountant unit , and what about the detail unit ? Last I heard there down to 15 officers ? lol is this a joke ? So if that’s true if they have 2 details simultaneously Bulls / Blackhawks ? Or Cubs /Sox? Not including concerts .. That’s like 5 officers per detail ? Excluding furlos Iod/medical …. Get these officers back into districts where they can actually be used for something productive answer some radio calls and be helpful. Someone please step in and look into this

I have 22 years on and the biggest idiots I have ever seen in my life are the current Command Staff. I wouldn’t follow these additional idiots anywhere. Just continue business as usual. Life goes on!

EQ is such a joke!!!!!! Who does she know??????? Merit LT (first class from that list BTW). Couldn't handle being the Commander of 003. I know to correct that problem let's promote her multiple times to house mouse positions nobody and I mean nobody has ever heard of. She is a nice person but this isn't funny at all.
The Department did hit 2 home runs on this though. Labbe and Mannion are great, and deserve those spots.
I've worked under both in my career and they're two of the rare bright spots.
Maybe a "Deputy Suck-up"...that would be another "merit" promotion, or are there too many already?

I worked with Sgt AM, one of the hardest working Detectives I worked with. The D unit looses alot of talent when they get promoted to Sgt.
Area 3 needs a house cleaning of do nothing Det's and Sgt's who pretend to do work. JL will raise the bar.

He made SGT and came to 050. I used to laugh hearing him on the radio talking and talking explaining why he made a decision. He shakes more than a Cali earthquake. Just remember SPIRO, you might have clouted the dept,but you still gotta give away 1/2 that pension to the Ex old lady.

Quarterman - a seat warmer from the day she joined this job. She’s found her niche in Inspections and they like that she’s aggressive in forcing her Captains to be at every roll call (especially those at PSHQ & Academy). She’ll be a little lost when BM retires.

Ghost payroller usually, and has been useless in every position when she does show up.

Bad management is now everywhere. Bad policy is what comes down to the officer at the bottom. Inefficiency and incompetence is what has come to be expected. Supervisors, either don’t care or our disinterested and are just in survival mode. Upper ranks complain no one knows what they are doing or won’t listen. The Chicago Police Department has become one big shit show where the majority just want to retire and move away. It’s management stupid.

Haha, I work in 009, we do not have an entertainment team and never have. The detail unit works outside Sox park, not 009. The only time 009 has to work a game is when it’s Sox cubs or something big, then the tac team and area team gets assigned, otherwise it’s the detail unit. Clown know it all who of courts runs his mouth without knowing a thing.

Police work will cease to exist due to low morale and high use of the medical. The only question is “who will fill EQ’s made up spot”????
