Self Defense? Four Years in Prison

This is why blue state blue city shitholes suck:

  • A Queens senior citizen who shot dead a man who tried to rob him will spend four years in prison after admitting to toting an unlicensed revolver — as his lawyer ripped the city’s “draconian” gun laws.

Charles Foehner, 67, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal weapons possession Thursday in a deal to end his case more than two years after he fatally shot would-be thief Cody Gonzalez, who charged at him near his Kew Gardens home.

The Queens District Attorney’s Office chose not to prosecute Foehner, a retired doorman, for Gonzalez’s killing after he told cops that he’d defended himself from a mugger who lunged at him late at night holding what looked like a knife — but which turned out to be a pen.

But prosecutors slapped Foehner with a slew of weapons raps for the unlicensed handgun and for an arsenal of illicit handguns, revolvers and rifles inside his home in the quiet neighborhood.

Can't have uppity senior citizens thinking they can defend themselves from a mentally-ill fifteen-time arrested asshole. The right to self defense is reserved solely for the elites.

How true, and the same demented sense of justice, here in the Chicago court system cheers the criminals and despises anyone who would stand up to them.

Screw these Judges.
2nd Amendment forever!

Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house.
"What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog.
I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion.
He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.

Four years for that man could be a death sentence. Shameful. Vote red.

Even a pen can cause great bodily harm thus justifying deadly force. Recall the bar scene in "Casino" when Lefty tried to return the nice pen to the bar patron.

Those prosecutors feel pretty good about themselves now, I bet. They have made the dirty streets of NYC safer!!
Now they can give each other a celebration reach around! The 67 year old man made the streets of NYC safer in one pull of the trigger than those lawyers will in an entire career.

Where’s his right to a lenient first time offense punishment like probation? Or is that reserved for a certain protected class?

No, Cody was a violent criminal committing a violent robbery. Sorry NY.
Besides, Cody was already dying. The Armed Victim just helped him along.

The bad: Unnecessary prosecution and wasting of taxes.
The good: One less repeat offender and savings of taxes.

We as taxpayers in Illinois have also been made vulnerable to extreme violence. It’s time to collectively sue those politicians responsible or demand to start impeachment proceedings. It could be you or your family tomorrow.
