So after lighting up the Christmas tree, someone lit up the revelers downtown.
Reports coming in about multiple people shot downtown after the festivities.
Conehead is under STRESS-CON 1.
UPDATE: At least nine shot while other reports say as many as twelve:
Nine people, including one who was killed, were shot during widespread disruptions in the Loop after the city’s annual Christmas tree lighting brought large crowds downtown on Friday evening, according to Chicago police. Most of the shooting victims are children too young to drive.
Most of the injuries occurred around 9:50 p.m. in a mass shooting outside the Chicago Theatre in the 100 block of North State Street. Officers were already patrolling the area when they saw a large crowd fighting on the sidewalk. As they approached, they heard gunfire and saw people running in all directions. Officers moved in and found seven wounded children who were shot along State Street from the theater toward Randolph Street.
"...too young to drive...." means they took the CTA.
We're also told via email and a couple comments that this was a planned event, i.e. one of those "teen takeover trends" that has social media notifications and flyers and word of mouth around the 'hood.
We're also told that teams working downtown were told to "Hein" the event, a new word we just invented which means, "Monitor from a distance, but don't get involved per the Chief of Patrol."
Conehead remains under STRESS-CON 1 and press releases are being prepared that this was another "isolated event."
Funny how it only seems "isolated" around certain non-demonized persons.

CWB is reporting that 9 people were shot last night in the loop and one of those victim’s died from his wounds. In addition to the gunfire it’s also reported that several police officers were injured from tasers and mace. You would think that the department would be more concerned with wild out of control juveniles as well as their police officers getting injured than the increase in weapon pointing incidents. • Incident: Gunshots rang out around 7:30–7:40 PM, causing panic among attendees.

This is an excessive use of force mass casualty incident in which a person was killed, a dozen with gunshots wounds and police officers going to the hospital in downtown Chicago. Armed assailants committed numerous acts of violence during a family orientated festival. No police to bag so the COPA, the Consent Decree scamming experts, the Cook County Police Public Integrity Unit, the FBI's Civil Rights police persecution Division, the State's Attorneys General Office, Chicago's Inspector General, the vermin at IAD, CPD's own force review subject matter authorities, Constitutional Policing empty holster reviews, civilian review boards, and Fusion Center replays with play by play recaps, will not expend their precious resources and expertise on this public safety crisis. All these so called authorities can care less about the safety of Chicagoans citing that police were attacked and force likely to cause serious bodily harm or death was only directed at the police not by the police. These agencies only direct their law enforcement efforts against police and their enforcement of criminal laws don't exist because their are on a higher mission directing their energies targeting police for their response to overwhelming force. These agencies contribute little to thwarting criminal activities and preserving order which clearly threatens the lives of the taxpaying public.
Update: An officer was caught on a BWC saying a four letter offensive word at a tender age Capone with a can of pepper spray in hand. The aforementioned investigative authorities have been activated on behalf of the criminal adolescent mob forming a partnership first stripping/publically humiliating the officer with transparent disclosure of the officer's identity unlike ICE which protects their personnel from Monday morning lynch mobs. David Harris would have stopped this. The department lost a great leader. 001 had more earned promotions per capita than any other district under his leadership. His officers scored much higher than any other district due to him personally mentoring and coaching them on a daily basis. So strange .. I remember decades ago, my parents would take us down there to look at marshall fields window display and walk around. I can't put my finger on what's so different from then to now ..

The Consent Decree law degreed peoples and folks need to stop re-writing orders and get in the field organizing police to provide protections of the public given their vast knowledge and experience in the sacred federal courtrooms. There is no better way to correct short comings of paper orders than to go into the field, sustain a physical injury, experience real world threats of a physical injury or an armed assailant attack from never ever prosecuted youth with their universal violent anti-social behavior. Put the time in field combat on your resume and then dictate proper police procedures after you experience terror of those who you naïvely seek to protect threaten your worldly existence with predatory physical violence. The vulnerable festivities attending public experienced the violence first hand that social justice advocates are trying to defend in so many ways. Enough is enough. Time for the honorable #47 President Trump to send in federal troops to restore order already and take back our city.
