Speaking of crime scene tape; I just saw this, Forensics just got a big kudos, for all the hard work! Sgt R. F. should be put on the forensic files or another 48 hours. Hopefully they highlight some of the cases CPD solved. The Det division should be proud that we have a national expert on staff. I always loved watching police shows where we get the bad guys who oh most got away. Awesome!

O/T When you receive a copy of your audio recorded statement CD from the BIA, don’t just throw it aside, review it immediately! Listen to your entire statement.
Don’t leave the BIA without the CD, because you ONLY have 72 hours to inform the investigator of any mistakes or suggested changes. .
Besides it was alleged that a certain BIA Sergeant that keeps failing the Chicago Bar Exam is using an AI Recorder Device to clone voices and to make slight changes to statements.
A previous posted stated that AI Recorders devices are being issued from the BIA radio room, and that some individuals are being their own to record statements.

I read on the internet that Brandon Johnson is now giving away candles at crime scenes because all the shootings take place on the south and west sides and historically those are under served communities of color and with high inflation the price of mourning has become out of reach for many. Unfortunately the Amazon truck delivering all the candles was car jacked and 2 hours later was found burning under a viaduct on 59th street. Unfortunately there is no more money in the budget for more candles in FY 2025. Sad.

BIA doesn’t play fair. They move the recorder next to you and you can’t even hear the question. They try to stay off the recording. With the majority of their cases it has a predetermined outcome by their bosses. That’s why the whole thing is internally controlled by CPD. One big shit show. If you want to make it to retirement answer your calls and be safe ;)

CPs and CTU want the entire CPD budget
Many businesses in Chicago have been victims of burglary during the first watch. That’s a fact, many made the news.
Anyone able to post sheets from the 1st watch for the last month?
How many down cars ? How many one man cars? Was there a Field Lt. , Sgt. Assigned to each sector?
Superintendent Larry Snelling, you have been around long enough to remember Captain assigned to every watch, Inspector rank was filled by Lt. , make a decision, assign Sergeant’s with 5+ years in District Patrol to the Rank of Inspector. Get those Captain Inspector back in a District on a Watch. Captain isn’t needed to hold the Commanders hand.
Let’s get some leadership back on CPD. Start with a Captain covering every watch, assign Captains to an area and assign them every month to a different district and watch. Put them on 12 hour shifts . Larry , it’s time to make your own decisions and turn CPD around. Lt. Should only be field Lt. on the street supervising the Sgt and Beat Officers.

Another day of incompetence going on. Get behind the vest wanted officers to download an appointment application to get a date for fitting. Everyone was replying all and a few thousand people were getting e-mails with all the dis-function. One of Superintendent Secretly Detail personnel F. C. replayed “I’ll replay just to annoy. wink” After an outrageous number of Sgt’s, Lt’s and police in nice units sad they needed their email for work. This continued for a good long while with officers asking to be taken off the e-mail chain.
DISFUNCTION! That is what the department has become! And everyone working knows it!
The P/O’s on the job now are nuts. Today get behind the vest, had a sign up and for two hours everyone was sending emails to approximately 6,600 police acting childish. A lot of white shirts saying take me off this email. Someone even called everyone a “D-Bag”. Not the same department it was 25 years ago. WOW!

Someone in the BIA is butt hurt. However, the department should implement video recording statements due to the practices in the BIA.

I have yet to have a BIA investigators that has less CR#’s than I’ve had. The BIA is mostly full of scums that were racking up on CR’s in districts, individuals that were once under serious investigation and weirdo’s that no one wanted to work with in districts.
