Once again, install cameras EVERYWHERE government business is conducted - cops are wearing them, lockups have multiple cameras, street sweepers have them for ticketing purposes, etc.
It's time for cameras in the classrooms and on the teachers:
Chicago Public Schools' Office of Inspector General released its annual report Wednesday, with a large portion devoted to what the inspector general called "pervasive" and widespread allegations of sexual misconduct at Little Village Lawndale High School — which NBC 5 Investigates first reported on last May during our "Lessons in Betrayal" series.
NBC 5 Investigates found that since 2017, at least seven educators - including two administrators and five teachers - have resigned or been fired while under investigation for sexual misconduct at Little Village Lawndale High School.
As part of our investigation, we interviewed 12 former students who shared with us their various experiences from their time at the high school. The former students raised concerns that the behavior of several teachers there went unabated for years.
Don't look now, but CTU members and CPS employees are rapidly closing in the the Archdiocese in terms of child victims of sexual assaults. We wouldn't be surprised if in the next year or two, lawsuit payouts eclipse CPD lawsuits settlements.

Any school with less than 70% enrollment should be closed. That gives less opportunity for the groomers to venture into unused space. -And, Yes, they need more cameras! CTU is nothing but corruption & groomers.

Audio and video can now provide streaming wireless signal via smartphones. Are there any youngsters not having a smartphone? A smartphone welcomed into every cps s hool would exponentislly increase both the potentials for the students to stream video/audio and ignore and piss off the indoctrinators.
Expectations of "privacy" do not validly exist on public properties.
And the youngsters are highly motivated to gossip via social media.

This is just a guess but I suppose in recent years that the total numbers of the church related victims has gone down as it appears that the church to have gotten out in front of the problem, while CPS numbers appear to be exploding. Does anyone else get the same feeling?
Yes, someone always has to bring up the Catholic Church. The schools have long surpassed any misconduct within the church. No one ever seems to mention the Baptist Church which always has had problems. The church made a mistake of allowing gays into the seminary and they paid the price for it. The public schools have hundreds of complaints every year and it is always covered up. I taught high school for one year and college for ten. Many times I had female students hit on me and it got to the point that I would never be alone in a class room with a student, any student. This is always on the adults to have restraint, but a small part of this falls on the female students. Many of these incidents continue after graduation, involve gym teachers and guidance counselors. Yes, put cameras in the class rooms so parents can tune in and watch the instruction. That would be a real =eye opener for many. People would then really realize the poor quality of so many high school teachers. Of course, with the power of the unions and their democrat friends, this will never happen. Maduro will end up as a teacher before this happens.

Cameras should be in every classroom, they showed us during COVID that home learning is possible so if dude wants to stay home and do his work there that would be great. Also if he is being disciplined he can keep up with his studies.

You could enroll your daughter in 1st grade CPS this year, and fight for cameras and better screening in CPS schools. You could fight for cameras the entire time she was enrolled. Send your children to private schools or don't have them.
CPS teachers , office and maintenance staff should all be required to wear body cameras. So should alderman.

i am a retired CPD Officer who after retirement and became an adjunct professor at a suburban Junior College. One cannot believe the number of times I was hit on by female students. During my first semester teaching one of my fellow professors came up to me and warned me of this. I didn't believe him at first, however as the semester was coming to a end I found out he was not bullshitting me.
