Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling has issued a blistering warning to radical activists and anti-border enforcement agitators.
His message was clear: If you play stupid games with law enforcement, you will win stupid prizes.
At a press conference on Monday, Snelling forcefully rejected social media posts alleging that Chicago police refused to help federal agents responding to violent situations last weekend.
Instead, he defended the role of federal law enforcement and clarified that attacks against them, whether local, state, or federal, constitute deadly force and can legitimately trigger an armed defensive response.
It gets better:
Snelling, who has not spoken about federal deployments in the city or across Illinois, said he has sought to “stay out of the politics of this,” but after hearing claims his officers did not respond to the calls for service, he felt it was necessary to “put all of that to rest.”
“My leadership team are not political pawns. Their lives are too important to play politics with these men and women who face danger every single day,” he said. “This is not a game, this is not a joke. This is still our city and we still have a responsibility to maintain safety and calm in our city.”
Snelling said none of his officers were seriously injured by the tear gas. He added that he’s spoken with federal leadership about the incidents, and that the feds were “extremely concerned” about the officers.
Despite those discussions, the superintendent maintained that his department abides by the Illinois TRUST Act — which restricts local law enforcement, including sheriffs, from cooperating with federal immigration agents — and does not collect or share residents’ immigration status.
But he also said his officers “cannot and will not” arrest federal agents conducting immigration enforcement operations in Chicago and implored residents not to interfere with those efforts
He almost sounds like someone running for office....as a Republican. Or at least a Libertarian.

The article is referencing the same speech from a few months ago. The speech was so good, it’s necessary to replay the message for the agitators. I’d vote snelling for mayor as long as he’s pro police which seems he genuinely is.

He also, like a politician, carries with him a history of abuse of power to gain sexual satisfaction from subordinates.
And just like a politician he was close to scandal but came out unscathed while his partner took a hit.
He also was a “friend to the working coppers” of the job, while not really have been a working copper himself. Just because he hit the streets for a few years early on people love to ignore that he spent literal DECADES of time inside the academy as a P.E. coach.
This guy night be a Chicago policeman, but his career has been charmed for certain. Likes to hang his hat on “being one of us”. Sure. Can you name another CPD copper who’s had a similar inside path as this fool? Definitely wasn’t an accident he went as far as he did.
Per the constitution the Sheriffs are the highest LE authority in the State of Illinois. Not CPD, not ISP, not burbs, not railroad police or the Attorney General. So the TRUST Act does not apply to Sheriffs' Deputies. But with JB Pigster as Governor, Brandon Johnson as Mayor of Chicago, and overall politics of this corrupt state we all know how it would end for the one Deputy who chooses to go against the machine.
We can only dream of having a republican mayor or maybe not……..

Time after time law enforcement is treated different than the average citizen. We have less rights then the public. Any other citizen could be in danger or fear for their life and police will respond and take action. Why do agents have less rights the everyone else. It's a oath we take. What the police department needs is what is very common in private industry ; a very strict and enforced fraternization policy between supervisors and lower ranking or those within the chain of command. The department is ripe with stories, law suits and rumors of sexual liaisons within the chain of command, many, many gold stars all the way up to superintendent ( and I can name at least two). These sexual/dating liaisons have led to lawsuits, divorces, physical confrontations and in many cases, merit promotions. It is time it is stopped and any gold star engaging in this should be immediately. demoted to basic rank or fired. I personally have witnessed a few and I am sure every cop on the job has also.But, is it not rumored that the mayor has a baby mama somewhere out there ?

President Trump hasn’t invoked the Insurrection Act yet, which would mean using the military instead of states National Guard units. The Supreme Court essentially gave him the go ahead to do so by ruling against him using states National Guard troops. It is game over for the leftists when Trump makes that move. Let’s hope Pritzker is as stupid as Walz and acts seditiously, it will be a well deserved trip to Gitmo for him.
