- O/T Area One Detective Commanders Watson had her first of many depositions from her unit the other day. She put it off a few times, but they finally forced her to go. She was asked “What does ATC stand for?”, and she stated she didn’t know. She was then asked, “What was a SPAR?”, and she couldn’t explain what it was or what SPAR stands for. There’s a lot of chattering going on at Corp Council right now.
Someone taken care of their entire career, shielded from having to make snap decisions, probably protected from having to deal with the public, supervise under stress, perhaps even making (or approving) an arrest involving Use of Force....now supervising a Detective Area?
And testifying under oath in court. This will probably cost taxpayers millions. Again.

A vast majority of the dept doesn’t know what ATC is, which is expected as it’s not really relevant to them. But how are you the commander of a detective area and not know what ATC stands for? Even worse, how are you a commander of anything and not know what a SPAR is? I know most of these gold stars are illiterate retards, but even still, I guess I had set the bar too high. Can any of these assholes read at a 3rd grade level, or is that bar STILL too high? I guess let me know when one of them shits their pants and we will lower the bar yet again. What a trainwreck this place is.

Sgt. C.B was making remarks to an Asian male. Watson turned around and gave him a spar for being late to work when he made a complaint. The deposition happened for the Asian male. I’m happy to see she is unqualified and out of touch. She has never worked one day in patrol. It’s wrong to promote people who are vengeful. She doesn’t like women either. She also failed to catch a DNA hit and the sexual assault offender was able to rape a minor due to her failure. She gossips about everyone, she is competitive and wants another promotion. I’ve seen go after a lot of people. A female black under her was taken down for standing up to her. She hasn’t worked her entire career. She needs to retire. What ever came from the white Sox park shooting? I heard she made it go away to protect a teacher carrying in the park. The mayor gave her attention and she was able to help him. All the cameras in that stadium I can’t believe that not one showed what happened. I know it didn’t come outside the park. It came from the teacher who managed to bring it in.

Commander AW sure knows all of the drama. She paces the floor all day, instigates drama within the area and then runs back into her office leaving everyone else to deal with the aftermath. She pressures her supervisors to micromanage officers and detectives that she has personal issues with. A sergeant once corrected her on something that she said about an incident, and she didn’t speak to him for several months. When she had questions about a case, she’d go to the officers on his team and disregard the sergeant. She acted as if the sergeant was invisible.
The shape CPD is in is just deplorable. A bunch of idiots for bosses. Only a fool would be hard charging. It’s basic survival mode. No one cares and no one has your back. As always some will survive and some will learn the hard way. With loosing their job, life, freedom, family and etc. You either get it or you don’t.

When Watson was the evidence sergeant, she failed to handle a CODIS hit. She received a 10 day suspension for it. When it first came out, she blamed a hardworking detective and called him a lying mother fucker, out loud, right in front of Commander Charlie Brown and others. I couldn’t believe it. Commander Brown didn’t say anything. Watson acted as if she was going to charge at the detective. The detective has since moved to another area. That was the best thing for him to do at the time.
Commanders are responsible for commanding operations. How can you command operations you’ve never done?
When I was on the job, they would’ve retired her or him to a position way at the back of the department. You can’t have someone like this supervising and testifying on behalf of officers and the department. That’s a no, no. Keep her alway from the public and real work.

Here's a good one...retired now however I had 26 years on the job and had to help a lieutenant (a watch commander) complete a pursuit package because she didn't know how and I was a blue shirt. Sometimes on the job you end up with the wrong people in the right spot. Overall throughout my career 99% of the bosses I worked for were the best. Wether some officers are promoted by merit or make it by test score there are just some that have no business being a supervisor especially those that were never the street police.
An ISP officer told me about one they promoted into a supervisory position- he said the only reason anyone would follow her anywhere was purely out of curiosity.

The detective in question is just as clueless. The detective is a merit detective, can't formulate a proper sentence or write a decent report, has no business being the police let alone detective, and will sue sue sue to make up for his incompetence. Carter is the main reason why Chief Deenihan left. When Carter was 1st deputy, chief Deenihan had no say so who the commanders of the Detective Division Areas would be, they were all selected by Carter. Chief Deenihan was so disgusted with the direction the department was going and tired of the politics so he left and took a position at Google. Deenihan was even expected to be the next superintendent after Brown, he didn’t want it because he said the amount of changes he would have to make at the command level was astronomical and he knew for sure he would be sued and accused of racism. How sad, and Snelling doesn’t understand why the department is so divided. Eric Carter did more damage to this department than any Superintendent ever did. Carter took full advantage of superintendent Brown being an outsider.

Don’t have any sympathy for Henry. This is probably the laziest detective in the history of Detectives. And that’s saying something.
