Kept in Jail?

How does DuPage manage to keep violent offenders in custody?

  • The 19-year-old Westmont man charged with murdering a 30-year-old pregnant woman in Downers Grove on Monday will remain in custody as he awaits trail.

DuPage County Judge Joshua Dieden denied pretrial release for Nedas Revuckas during a hearing Thursday morning. Revuckas is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly stabbing Eliza Morales 70 times, mostly in the head and neck, and then setting her apartment on fire over an online sale gone wrong, according to prosecutors. Eliza, who was five months pregnant, leaves behind her husband and toddler, both of whom were not home at the time of the incident.

It's not like the offender was a habitual criminal:

  • Revuckas has no prior criminal background, worked as a painter and complied with police. But Dieden said that if he was released and placed on home confinement, the entire community would be in danger.

But somehow, they managed to keep him in jail.

It's odd to say the least.

Does the Safe-T Act only apply in Cook County?

Did DuPage judges get the memo?

How many other counties and their judges do this?

My personal experience after 4 years in a multi county group, outside of cook county, many people don't give a s**t about cook county. Especially the politics. Republicans, law, order and common sense rule outside this asylum.

Only a matter of time as DuPage is already Blue (Judges too). State Attorney and Sheriff (Republicans) are the only ones holding the line.

The real reason that they are detaining him is that he stabbed the dog.

We’ll see how much longer DuPage County judges will have that option. The county is turning Democrat with the influx of Chicago Democrats. Many of the rich suburbs have also turned into a haven for champagne socialists.

@EagleEdMartin - Important: “under oath”

Ex-Dominion Voting Systems executive Eric Coomer admitted under oath (Jan 27, 2026 deposition in Coomer v. Byrne) to discussing voting equipment, adjudication software & source code with foreign nationals, including Serbians who could remotely troubleshoot in Denver office.

This contradicts YEARS of Dominion denials of foreign involvement in U.S. elections.

Charlie Cain, attorney for Eric Coomer assaulted Byrne's attorney Peter Ticktin several times after losing the motion to suppress questions related to Serbia, China, and Venezuela, per @Joeoltmann

Charles Beach, Crook County Chief Judge, and his comedy team of Black Robe Clowns, continue to allow criminals a "get out of jail free card" in the revolving door criminal system. Vote No for retention of these clowns.

DuPage County States Attorney’s office does not play.

DuPage County Judges are objectively better than those in Cook and Lake (at least).

God Bless them all for their work keeping the public safe.

Those many you observe are deluding themselves as their inactivities are laying the paths to their doors.

Only the delusionals ignore the massive hoards of predators lurking mere miles distant from their fantasy of feeling safe.
