So democrats are claiming requiring a valid government ID is the new "Jim Crow voter suppression" and they're telling lie after lie about "If you don't have a passport, you can't vote" or "If you got married and changed your name, you can't vote" or "If you're poor, you can't afford the passport fee so you can't vote."
These are all lies, made to trick the uneducated and misinformed into panicking.
But let's take it to it's logical extreme then (from our e-mail):

You need ID to buy liquor, enter assorted government buildings, travel on an airplane, get treatment at a hospital, conduct business at a bank, and any of a million other daily tasks. Remember how they were pushing "COVID passports" to go outside, eat at restaurants, even visit dying relatives in nursing homes?
But an ID to vote, arguably the most important duty as a LEGAL CITIZEN, is suddenly "Jim Crow 2.0"?

I know it's obvious, but just to reiterate, there are 3 pillars of the democrat party at this point:
1. Fraud; e.g. funding the revolution via kickbacks as we've seen in Minnesota with the Somalis.
2. Foreigners; voting for democrats. Just wait until they get amnesty.
3. Cheating in Elections; e.g. Georgia in 2020.

I agree with you SCC. And that Jim Crow bullshit infuriates me.
But what’s being proposed is something to prove citizenship to register. That’s basically a birth certificate or passport. They might be talking just a simple ID when you actually vote, but I believe for registering they’re asking for proof of citizenship.
So most of the things you cite that you need id for don’t require id that proves you’re a citizen. I got my first passport a few years ago and luckily my dad had a copy of my certified birth certificate. Otherwise I think I would have had to go to a county office which would be a real pain in the ass.
If I’m correct that they’re talking about when you register to vote, not when you vote, it’s not outrageous to ask people to bring a passport or birth certificate for what should be a once or twice in a lifetime registration. But it’s harder than a drivers license etc. And fuck that motor voter bullshit. You should have to expend some effort to vote.
Every time I go to a different doctor or hospital for tests, they want to see your insurance cards and a driver’s license or State ID card. I’ve been going to the same banks for years and sometimes they ask for your ID. I have been voting for 60 years and not once have they ever asked for an ID. Even if you offer they always say no. I will scribble my signature to see if they will challenge me, they never do. They just ask for an address. With a system like that I could vote for a neighbor and scribble their name!
By allowing voter fraud, it only ensures our vote doesn’t count. You need a ID to buy a gun and that’s the way the Democrats want it. You need an ID to buy alcohol, cigarettes, travel, city-county-state Job! To say people don’t have IDs is nonsense. More BS out of Democrats!
One rep posted a picture yesterday of the photo ID that the members have to insert in the voting machine to vote. So they have to have photo ID to vote against photo ID.
One stupid b!tch claimed that 160,000 married women in her district wouldn't be able to vote because they didn't change their last name on their BIRTH certificate.

Try to find the right to vote in the Constitution. It's not there. Nobody has a Constitutional right to vote. The right to keep and bare arms is right there in the 2nd Ammendment.
I just traveled out of Ohare…..and have a REAL ID as required by law. And they still challenged my REAL ID? Then they requested further identification at check in? I am white, over 50, born in USA, with six generations living

Let me add something interesting..... nowhere in the constitution does it say you have the right to vote however it does say you have a right to bear arms. The right to vote is a state law and the constitution only refers to suppressing by race, gender etc. but not a right.
Blue states are already slated to lose a total of 7-9 congressional seats and electoral votes because of Americans fleeing to free states. Voter ID and mass deportations will further shrink democrats prospects.

Actually, there is no constitutional right to vote. There are various amendments stating that citizens cannot be disenfranchised for various reasons (sex/age/race), but they can certainly be disenfranchised for other reasons (felonies/etc).
The right to keep and bear arms is a clear, absolute, enumerated right. However the self-anointed black-robed tyrants of the so-called Supreme Court have decreed that it does not mean what it clearly states.
The right to vote is right next to the right to privacy in the Constitution.
You can't get a library card in Chicago without a valid ID card.

If you want to visit the Capitol Building in Washington DC where these mutts work, you need a driver's license or passport plus you need to go thru security that includes metal detectors. If you have to go thru this security why do you need ID?
You can order a copy of your birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc., online. It is not a “pain in the ass,” it doesn’t cost much and every adult should have these documents in a safe place.
Wow! In GA when I got married I changed my legal name to “first name-middle name-husband’s last name.” But the state of GA, when updating my voter registration, listed my new name as “first name-maiden name-husband’s last name.” When I went to vote my ID did not match the voter roll and it was a real hassle to be allowed to vote. Eventually a supervisor, seeing that I have a very unusual first name and last name, decided that it was unlikely that there were two people in town with the same name and allowed me to vote. I had to go to the county election board to have their records corrected.

If you are unable to obtain any of the identification in order to vote, then you don't have the necessary brain power or required faculties to vote.
You cant change your birth certificate to show a name change that is what a marriage license is for. Which is then presented to SS and insurance and secretary of state. Its not hard

The 2nd amendment grants an unequivocal individual right to keep and bear arms, as in: “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”
Their presence at the time of the census shifted House of Representatives seats to states with large illegal populations.
This also advantaged the states with large illegal invaders populations with more Electoral College votes, even if those illegals didn't directly vote.
