Susana Mendoza wants to be mayor and she wants to solve the unfunded pension liability. She wants to have a " come to Jesus " moment with union leaders and said the financial wolf is at the city's doorstep. She talks about concessions some folks will have to give so that they still have a pension. Tiny Dancer tried that until the Sate Supreme Court had to remind everyone that the pension protection clause that says those benefits shall not be impaired or diminished.
