John is cranky and upset about being held to account.
He's reduced to making unspecified threats against the blog during the FOP Golf Outing for daring to question his efforts to start and fund a "charity" with FOP Dues Money with no actual mission statement, accountability, by-laws or instructions as to the purpose of an initial $50K of "seed money" before expanding to over $200K.
Now, after five weeks since his last "TGIF Update" (and only the third video update in over FOUR MONTHS, he's whining about how open he's been with everything:
- “In transparency’s sake, everything is out in the open.”
Everything.....except the FOP credit card statements. You know, the ones the FOP liar lawyer said were improperly used for personal expenditures. No one has seen hide nor hair of those for how many years?

We get it - trapped rats lash out, everyone is to blame except the ones doing the wrongs. We've seen it a thousand times making arrests, during processing, putting people in the wagon, transporting them over to the jail, testifying at court, waving goodbye to them as they board the IDOC bus to prison. Ghetto trash is ghetto trash regardless of skin color, ethnicity, religion, gender, political leaning, job assignment, whatever.

Thanks for posting this. I oh most missed the article. As a current officer who feels like things are often going in the wrong direction and trying to do my job the best I can, I feel like most supervisors only care about themselves and try and dodge their responsibilities. Most try and have an easy day and in this case it sounds like the officers were encouraged to find guns and pull people who looked like thugs.

The FOP doesnt need to start another charity. We already have the Phil Cline fund, and the John Garrido fund etc...why would we ever vote to establish the John Catanzara fund. These "slush" funds benefit one person. The one who created them. Usualy as a CEO at an exhorbitant salary in perpetuity. Gavin Newsom and his wife run a charity and have funneled millions of dollars and are now under federal investigation. I stopped giving to these unvetted funds years ago.

I was in Hammond today and the gas at the Caseys by Cabelas was $3.39 a gallon. Cross the border into Ill and it jumps 80 plus cents a gallon. But Gov Pigster wants to blame Trump and Republicans.
Having someone who was fired from the department or who resigned under serious investigation is bad enough. But continuing with this individual with so much controversy and smoke is just beyond comprehension. I think it is time to move on and get him out of office and have an immediate forensic audit of the accounts. This kind of nonsense happens with the Teamsters but should not occur within a police union. The Indiana Governor suspended the gas tax on April 8th when gas prices spiked due to the Iran war. It’s supposed to resume October 6th, but he has extended it at least 5 times. Gas prices should be about 60 cents or more higher.
