Mistaken for a rival gangbanger?
Cook County Crime Stoppers said the 50-year-old woman shot and killed while driving on Chicago's South Side early Friday morning was a Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications employee.
The organization said Natalia Rodriguez was killed in the shooting.
The shooting took place at about 12:17 a.m. in the 4500-block of South Wood Street in the Back of the Yards. Police said Rodriguez was driving a silver SUV south on Wood Street when she was struck by gunfire and crashed into a parked SUV. The woman was shot multiple times and taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
There's a reward being offered by CrimeStoppers.
No word on where Conehead's "violence interrupters" were interrupting crime.
Sympathies to her family and OEMC co-workers.

What are the “great wins in the community” Do they produce any stats? How much government money do get?
If the offenders are caught, more than likely they will have priors for firearm charges and are out on ankle monitors or probation.

The "violence interruptors" were having popcorn and relaxing in Bobbie Rushs office.
It's a unfortunate incident. That gang is diabolical and dangerous. They are responsable for some of the worst crime in 009. They shot and killed a pregnant mother in the head while she was trick or treating with her two children. They also shot a federal agent in the face while he and his team were placing a tracker on a vehicle. Maybe Jerry can come out of retirement and start up Operation Broken part 2. Does CPD do Hispanic gang cospiracies anymore. Let me guess. Everyone was on Michigan Ave with their crown hats and reflective vests being scarecrows.
I keep reading about “violence interrupters”. How many are there? What are they paid? What hours do they work? Who do they report to? Do they file reports? Take home cars? What are the qualifications? How do I apply?
That is too sad for words.

The Saints do not give a fuck about shooting someone. If they do not recognize the vehicle or person they take that as a threat and they shoot first and ask questions later. Extremely dangerous crew.

Great question? I know maybe 2 or 3 sgt's out of Homan worked them but this was 4 years ago. They went after sd's saints kings. They're tough to get into and dangerous. They did what they could and tip my hat to them. 9 25 10 districts are a different breed.
Targeted? I wouldn't put it past OEMC people to be feeding gang members information about real time information on police dispatch and gps.
