We have always had a bad fto programs but when I see the dumbest laziest non proactive promoted ftos in the 005 promoted in have to laugh...total b.s
Some of the people on this list have 3-5 years on the job...

Capers from 011?? Noooo. She isn't fit to be an officer , let alone teach . She will get a PPO hurt ! As she has proven over and over to stand back while whoever got stuck with her for the night was fighting with a shit bag in 011. She is dangerous and should not be on the street !!!
Maybe the DOJ will tell the police dept that "merit and political appointees are the reason this department took a nose dive into the toilet.

FTO - should be an easy job. Just teach the following survival skills: 1) Do nothing. 2) Say nothing. Follow these 2 simple rules and you will survive here at CPD.

How about the FTO in 20 with 2 yrs on the job, only worked a year, if that, on the street actually training new officers. She now works in the commander's office, makes her own hours, weekends off, holidays off and will be there for the remainder of her career. And thanks to commander Conan for being so generous to the bean counters in the office with time due while patrol gets denied left and right. These clown administrators could inspire an ant farm go on strike.

Capers is a nice lady but dangerous. She failed her cycles but was still not fired. She has been seen literally praying with prisoners in the lock up, sometimes the only place they could put her. She has stated numerous times she would not be able to kill an offender regardless of the circumstances. A few years back she was at a domestic. Her partner cuffed the offender, went inside to get complaints signed and when he came back outside found the bad guy uncuffed with caper's hands in the air. She was praying over him and luckily no one got hurt. Please PPOs be careful

For those of you crying about the young officers making FTO, you should do something about it. The only reason they are making it is because no one with time on the job is willing to take the test or the position. Don't hate on people when it is their only option for any pay raise or advancement. Congrats to the new FTOs. Please do your best to teach the new recruits something and to sort out the bad ones that make it through.
L Capers shouldn't even be near a police station much less be a cop. She is clueless and dangerous, allowing her in this position is negligent. When she gets somebody killed it will be the fault of every commander and Lt who have had her under their command. She is known to be incompetent and unqualified as a police officer. The department is knowingly putting PPOs at risk by allowing this to happen.

Stop your bitching...no one else wants the job so if they
want to give it a try good for them at least they are trying
unlike yourself.
sadly a large amount of recently promoted FTOs quit within a few months or under a year. the last 3 FTO promotion lists, people either dropped out during the process or quit soon thereafter. Look at the resignations online! This round will be no different. Until they start D2A pay, people will consider this rank a shitty position. Besides the city being cheap asses, there is no difference between being a Detective and FTO, each very important in their own way, why should they get paid any less? Until they increased the REAL incentive of D2A you will see 20% at minimum drop-out after a few months. Look at the history over the last few years, and it will be same, FTOs are unappreciated by bosses and recruits they treat. Certainly theres many FTOs who are dogs, but many honestly want to train and have their heart into it. After all when we are old and retired, don't you want these new recruits to know what the fuck is up with responding to your burglary in 016?

She's the only person in 011, for whom an inside spot could be made up, and no one would complain. Sweetheart of a person, but just plain doesn't belong on the streets.

FTO isn't a promotion. You're doing the same shit you were doing only they are giving you $7/day to work with a fetus.
Also, when all you FTO's are in training they are going to tell you that you will get "points" or something like that on real promotional test(Det/Sgt) and extra consideration for merit. NAW, never going to happen, in fact if you believe it you are probably too big of a moron to be a FTO, but nobody wants the job so.............
Scrap the FTO program and put newbies with vets. Vets that work obviously.
FTOs?? Who cares. Look at the time that some of these FTOs have on the job. How the hell are you gonna have guys with 2-8 years teaching new guys on this job. You shouldnt be able to be an FTO, Detective or ET on this job unless you have 10 years minimum on.

Here's a true story Mr Shittalker., The infamous 1080, who's now newly retired failed the FTO Test but someone thought he was intelligent enough to make Sgt?
I knew him in 011 so this isn't some urban folklore. Curious why he retired suddenly?
