- In an incident captured on video that has gone viral on social media, a fan allegedly attacked Blackhawks mascot Tommy Hawk after Friday night’s game against the Jets at the United Center, according to Chicago Police.
The man “fled the scene” before police arrived, and no arrest had been made as of Saturday night, a police spokesman said.
United Center security contacted Chicago Police after the incident, and a report was filed. Police said the alleged attacker was a white male, 18-20 years old, 5-foot-5 and 160 pounds.
- Things went from bad to worse for the Blackhawks during their 4-3 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets.
Tommy Hawk was attacked by a fan on the United Center concourse on Friday, authorities say, in a video-recorded encounter that has made waves on social media.
Chicago police confirmed they were notified of a disturbance at the United Center around 11:15 p.m. Friday. Police said a “male was performing as a team mascot” when another man began punching him in the face and put him in a headlock.
The alleged attacker was described as a white man between 18 and 20, about 5-foot-5 and 160 pounds. No one was in custody as of Saturday night.

She will absolutely charge him with the public way felony. Been going on for years now. It is one of the few ways were they can play catch up and charge younger white males with a felony which at face value would barely make simple battery. Happens all the time.

I have called the news desks at Ch 7 and ch 5 numerous times. I have inquired as to why they don't identify the race of the offenders. They then put you on hold......they then come back on stating that the descriptions are too vague......I said clothing description and race are two different things......then they get the attitude....and hang up on you.
Regarding Foxx - She needs to lock-up those votes from the Criminal Class of citizens. All politicians know they need to pander to specific groups to gain votes. She’s weighed the odds and pandering to the Criminal Class is better for her political fortunes than protecting the good citizens of Cook County.

Just today the Sun Times ran an article of 2 vehicular hijacking offenders at Orland Mall.
As expected the race of the offenders is missing.
What’s also apparent by this story is that the mascot was a white man. Ortherwise the story would have read white male, 18-20, 505-160 lbs attacked a black male in a Chicago Blackhawks mascot suit.
I have called the news stations and asked why they didn't give a better description. They always say, "They are using the information the police gave them."

Channel 7 reported on the violent carjacking that ended in Orland Park. A woman was beaten with a pistol. One POS in custody and they reported that “ police are still looking for 2 young drivers”. Not thugs or violent offenders, but “ drivers “. No further description . What a damn joke . Media sucks. Channel 7 is the worst.

You obviously did not see the events leading up to Tommy Hawk defending himself.
Thank You SSC for providing us the information printed in those two Socialist rag newspapers. I, like tens of thousands more, have stopped subscribing to these papers and their slanted agenda. Perhaps we should stop patronizing their advertisers.
