Suburban Cop Killed

Oak Park, responding to a "Man with a gun" call:

  • A police officer was shot and fatally wounded in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park Friday morning around 9:30 a.m.

CBS News identified the officer as 40-year-old Oak Park Police Detective Allan Reddins, and he was declared deceased at 10:10 a.m.

ABC 7 noted that Reddins responded to call about a person with a gun leaving a bank. Shots were fired upon Reddins’ arrival on scene.

Reddins was shot in the left side and rushed to Loyola University Medical Center, where he died. The suspect was shot in the leg and he, too, was transported to Loyola, where he is in good condition.

Reddins is the first Oak Park Police Department officer killed in the line of duty since 1938.

Deep sympathies to the Oak Park PD, his family, friends and co-workers during this trying time.

Spent a lot of time in 15.

Oak Park was always helpful, polite and professional.

Couple of them used to come to watch parties.

They were our brothers, and later sisters.

Well enough nostalgia, my main message is sympathy.

Dear comrade R.I.P.

Your watch is over, we got it from here.

R.I.P.

Guessing the offender was a resident of the west side of Chicago. When is too much, too much. When does a group need to decide what they want to be in society, parasitic violent criminals or productive members of society. Rest in peace brother.

Are mag dumps too much to ask Santa for Christmas? Won't that save publicly paid medical expenses for these shooters?

When I was in 015, Oak Park was always there to help when anything went down by the boarder. They were always chasing shitheads into 015. I was always impressed with how aggressive they were. Great department. Rest in peace.

Bank robbery is the last crime I would bother getting involved in. The banks have been ripping off people since they first opened the doors. Don't bother with it, the robbers only get a couple thousand and its all insured.

Heard this last night. Horrible. Just horrible. Makes me sick. You go through all the BS, ups & downs and it comes to this? I wish they'd bring back the chair. This Officer died too young, and the "alleged" has free meals and a cot the rest of his life and attorneys that will stick up for him. Something is wrong. I'm sorry for your loss. This is horrible.

Having been born and grown up in Oak Park, my family moved from Oak Park in 1968. We loved the police and the dear OakParker atmosphere, yet my parents saw the ghetto larva and shitheads starting to invade our great community. To bad, when the criminal few ruin a once beautiful suburb. We pray for the Brave officer and all first responders. They surely are the buffer between civil society and the criminals. Thank You.

What’s the criminal history of the cop killer? Was he one of JB Pritzker and Conehead Johnson’s success stories?

Deep blue Oak Park doesn’t deserve a police department after that libtard town voted to defund their PD. Budgeted for ~130 staffed by ~80 Detectives out on patrol due to manpower. Anyway RIP Office.

Didn’t OPRF HS paint one of their side street pavements with a colorful BLM slogan? That suburb has no clue what’s crossing over on Austin Street. Glad that the suspect has multiple Chicago arrest and was set free by the Kimm Foxx-JB Pritzker-Toni Preckwickle neighborhoods love campaign. RIP!

Not sure how this happened, Oak Park banned guns right? So none of the criminals should have them.

RIP Officer. Condolences to all.

There’s still a federal death penalty for murder. Since bank robbery is also a federal crime, hopefully the feds can take over the case and fry the guy’s worthless ass.

I spent 5 years in the old 015th district from 1997 - 2002. Oak Park Police were always around to help on traffic stops and very professional. Seemed like most of the crime that happened in Oak Park came from residents from the City of Chicago. Rest in Peach Detective Reddins!

People also ask
What does calling someone a comrade mean?
The term comrade generally means 'mate', 'colleague', or 'ally', and derives from the Spanish and Portuguese term camarada, lit. 'chamber mate', from Latin camera, lit. 'chamber' or 'room'. It may also specifically mean "fellow soldier", comrade in arms.

I agree the banks are criminal organizations. The biggest criminal banking organization is the United States Federa Reserve Bank.

It's a federal crime and its all theirs. Fuck the FBI and fuck the banks, the moneys insured and the bank doesn't give a shit about any copper getting killed. Have you ever noticed no bank EVER has gifted money to any police killed during a robbery. That's because they don't give a shit about the police because they know they lose nothing, Wake up and fuck these bank robberies. Let the feds handle it.

Towaricz means comrade in both Polish and Russian. The famous Winged Hussars used it amongst themselves. Centuries later the term was appropriated by Bolshevik scum and since then it has unfortunately been associated with Reds.
