Vigilante Maybe?

What do people do when they can't (won't) count on the cops being around?

  • A man is in critical condition after someone shot him as he was “exhibiting erratic and dangerous behavior” on a busy Lincoln Park street Wednesday afternoon, according to the local alderman.

“There is reason to believe this is an isolated incident wherein the victim and offender had a preexisting relationship,” Ald. Timmy Knudsen (43) said in an email tonight, adding that the case is still under investigation.

Police said a 34-year-old man was approaching people on the sidewalk in the 2400 block of North Clark when an “altercation” broke out around 3:58 p.m. During the conflict, another man pulled out a gun and fired shots, striking the victim in the chest.

The shooter left the scene afterwards - why stick around and get railroaded like that guy on the New York subway, who merely restrained a psycho that was even higher on drugs than George Floyd was? Much easier to "shoot and scoot" in the blue shithole cities.

We've said it for years now - all these "defund" the police a$$holes aren't going to like what happens when the police can't/won't/are restricted in how they respond to disturbances like these.

Yes sir. I tell this to normal locals and those out-of-staters who inquire as to CC laws and reciprocity for two reasons.

One: in the event ‘Dude’ has an accomplice(s) that didn’t haul ass when the hammer fell (or be prepared to engage another savage(s)).

And Two: the police ain’t gonna be showing up to save your ass, as this ain’t Hollywood.

I also remind them to keep their yaps shut and lawyer-up in the event one or more of our illustrious investigators come a knockin’.

I’m guessing that social violence intervention workers will be put on the back burner and vigilantism will rise and so be it

Be honest, you aren't on the street anymore. How many cops behind desks now? You need a full court press for at least a year. Everyone visible, everyone on the street.

ot -
There was an incident in OakBrook on Wednesday wherein a Chicago woman faces multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated fleeing and eluding a police officer, one count of criminal damage to property and various misdemeanor and traffic offenses, including driving with a suspended license. . . A judge granted the state’s motion to deny pre-trial release for Kahdijah. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 23.
The DuPage County State's Atty Office seems to be very successful in presenting their case(s) before judges when requesting that pre-trial release be denied.
My question is, will the new Cook County State's Atty Office be as successful?

Vigilantism is demonstrated everyday in the blue cities. Some call it gang warfare, but in truth it’s just a community that has lost faith in the criminal justice system to protect them. We wouldn’t need gun control if the police were just allowed to do their job.

Run Forrest, run! If you do get locked up say the following, I thought he was going to kill me. I don't want to speak to you or any other police officers until I speak to a lawyer and he advises me to do so. Then - STFU. I mean it, STFU. Guarantee you no charges will be approved, it’s self-defense.

I’m tired. I’m tired of seeing officers battered and bruised. I’m tired of seeing officers take the vitriol they take for the sake of de-escalation and procedural justice. I’m tire of doing reams of paperwork to justify a use of force any reasonable and rational person were to use as a private citizen to defend themself. I’m tired of the nepotism that leads to the promotion of individuals unprepared to lead and only perpetuating a demoralizing culture of skeptics among their subordinates. I’m tire of endless ELearning. I’m tired of
Constitutional Policing. I’m tired pf BIA, the FBI, the IG, COPA, CCSAO, Attorney General of Illinois and now elected Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability (CCPSA),. It’s suffocating and oppressive. I’m tired of the mainstream and local media that refuse to report the news at the risk of offending sensibilities of the offender over the safety of the community they’re supposed to inform so they can keep themselves safe . I’m tired of the endless emails and meeting that go nowhere because the arrogance of our leadership prevents ideas from coming from the bottom up.

I don’t want to go but they’ve left me an easy choice. I didn’t leave the Department, the Department left me.

That’s what the Democrats wanted a city with no police GOD willing let the wolf eat the sheep!! You probably weren’t protecting the police when the riots were full blast in 2020 and defunding the police movement was going on.. Here is thought for you. Mayor conehead don’t care about the average citizen he has a platoon of security for himself.

Yes, we are all tired of the failed leftist agenda and policies, November 5th was the people starting to fight back. Adm. Yamamoto’s quote comes to mind,
“I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”
Here we come.
