Pension Board Special Election
The retiree representative on the Pension Board passed away last month. We heard there's going to be a special election to fill the vacancy, but we've heard next to nothing about any candidates running.
Last election, the FOP played an outsized role in who was running for the retiree spot.
Who's up his time?

Hopefully a good guy from the north side gets it if you know what I mean.
HEY !...this is Chicago. Just cause your dead doesn't mean you can't vote. So why can't you stay in office ?...This is Chicago.
Who died?

At this point, who the F cares. The current regime is caught red handed stealing OUR funds and not a thing is done about it. We need to clean house.
lonergan didn’t do shit for the retirees, jcat backed him because he was a friend.
Brock is the active trustee but he votes no on absolutely everything and rubs everyone the wrong way.
What a sad twisted state of affairs
Disanti is not running. He took a position as chief financial officer for FOP cruise lines. They are based in FL and accept cash only.
be careful, that cruise line could be an ABSCAM set-up
I’m about tired of the FOP picking candidates.
Whatever any retiree does PLEASE do no vote whomever the FOP endorses. Vote for the best candidate. The one who will Actually represent your interests.
This election was posted on the pension website after the passing of Tom Lonagian. If the members would check on the website occasionally, (you, me, us) would stay informed. Keep in mind though, the retired trustee position is a non-paying one. Having said this, the pension haters need not apply. Craw back under you rock and be thankful your receiving a retirement benefit.
All members should be required to vote in any election..Just another corrupt union!
OT: By the way, its getting reported that BlowJob Johnson is looking to possibly have City Workers Laid off mid-year, also affecting police and fire..How?? It's yet to be seen. So, instead of really sitting down and taking a hard look at wasteful spending, let's lay off off employees. 1 thing is guaranteed, it wont be any of his inner circle cronies.
That guy did absolutely NOTHING, while on the pension board. Put Rosemary in there to ask questions. Like her or not she would be a pain in their asses
Pension board officers do nothing for us. Ask Wright who ghost payrolls.
Eugene Roy is putting out petitions.
This is why. A person seeking to run as a candidate in the Special Election must obtain the candidate petition
from the office of the Retirement Board, 221 N LaSalle Street, Suite 1626, Chicago, Illinois 60601 or
print it from the Fund website: www.chipabf.org, beginning Wednesday, December 31, 2025
through Friday, January 9, 2026.
No hoopla this time because the Pension board, AKA FOP, was hoping no one would notice and they could push “their” candidate in unnoticed and uncontested/business as usual.
On or about Monday, January 12, 2026, the first business day following the last day for filing
nominating petitions, all petitions so filed shall be open to public inspection in the office of the
Retirement Board, and the sufficiency of any petition may be challenged in writing on or before
4:30pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the second day following the last day for filing such petitions.
In addition, any candidate may, in writing, withdraw his or her petition on or before 4:30pm on
Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
The online/telephonic election shall take place from on or about 12:01 am on Thursday, January 29,
2026 through on or about 11:59 pm on Monday, February 9, 2026.
FOP will have nothing to do with this it’s a retirement position that’s open. Last time it was for active officers which FOP was involved which they should be.
You should run.
You can leave FOP if you want.
Thank you excellent comment. Could not agree with you more.
This is a bargaining tool that he is using. Won’t happen.
Civilians working for CPD get laid off first per the contract.
Ya but no one will sign them.
Oh god no
Amen brother This retired cop has no clue to what is going on.
