- Naked passenger fights police in an "el" train. After juicing him with OC and shocking him with a TASER, he still manages to fight and injure a pair of cops. Must have been a helluva floor show for the locals.
- Songs and prayers for teen killed by cop. The media keeps showing their innate anti police bias with statements like "after a deputy gunned him down in a school bathroom. (emphasis added)" Excuse us, but the deputy was (A) acting in self defense and (B) protecting hundreds of children from what everyone believed was a real gun. We saw some story (which we can't find now) of a woman at the school holding a sign up that said "Stop the Violence." The officer did - the perpetrator is dead. Good for the boys in blue and we hope he's getting support from his co-workers.
- In Britain, "A DETECTIVE is facing disciplinary action by his force for referring to a career criminal as "pondlife" in a private conversation with another officer. The detective constable, who faces possible dismissal from his job, has been told that the criminal "might have been offended"” had he heard the remark, although he was not present at the time." The saddest part of this whole thing is that it took place in Nottingham, so you know the past Sheriff of Nottingham is spinning in his grave at what pansies his formerly feared force has been reduced to.

I just finished the britian story. They are looking for corruption and find some copper making an off color comment? And they will call it a successful investigation. I'm sure New Orleans will end up like the African Nation of liberia. It was founded in 1847 by freed American slaves..and 160 years later what are its successes? 80 % unemployment, a history of civil unrest (2 civil wars), and no running water or electricity in the Capital City of Monrovia. Why?
Because just like majority african cities in America, everyone wants to be in charge (and be the self appointed "spokes-reverend"), but nobody wants to do the actual physical work necessary to accomplish the goal.
It's okay though, the Federal government, and american corporations (aka investors) will rebuild N.O. and then Rev. Jackson will boycott and demand payment which he will get and then you won't hear another word about New Orleans. It will be back just as before.

That's the number of police officers, job code 9161. Then there are detectives...actually all BIS personnel, all the other D-2 positions, sergeants, lieutenants, captains, exempt....there is about 13,000 sworn, only 8900 police officers.

Actually, I was surprised at the amount of positive information conatined on that site! It pretty much stresses that one should NEVER physically resist an officer, or even argue or give attitude to an officer!
In fact, all the site is stressing is that as AMERICANS, we all have the RIGHT to refuse "unreasonable searches". I'm sure even though you don't want to admit it, most coppers definition of "resaonable" when it comes to searching people and their cars, isn't necessarily in line with a LEGAL defintion. Something along the lines of search first, probable cause can always be "established" later...
They are obvioulsy pro-drug on that site, but it does NOT come off as anti-police or at least aggressive towards police, to me.

Ameican Civil War casualty is equaled 20% of the total population of Liberia today, the total amount of Americans that lost their jobs in the depression is 4 times greater then the total population of Liberia today. The American/Carribean transplants only equal up to less then 5% of the total population of Liberia. The only major commodity that Liberia has to offer the world is WOOD, there is no major agricultural crops, Oil,or exports

In response to the mayor of N.O. comments, Let'em rebuild it as a majority black city. Why anyone in their right mind would be a tourist there in the future escapes me.The world saw what the residents were capable of. Screw that city, the mayor, and all the savages that showed once again how they act when tragedy happens. Any temptation in me to go to mardi gras is gone forever. I might as well plan a trip to Detroit, isn't it like 90% black?
