We are Tired

No, we won't tell you why or where we happened to be. But we never did get to wrap Lefty up in "W" stickers. It would have been amusing to say the least. Anyway, here's some coverage of the war protests. Funny how they seem to get smaller and smaller each year, isn't it? How is it that a protest over tightening immigration laws can garner a few hundred thousand people, but these people couldn't fill the upper deck at Sox park?

Good job by the police all around.

Channel 2, Channel 7, Tribune.

Want to see something funny? Go to the Drudge Report and look at the picture of the girl/protester with the red beret. The drawing on her left cheek is supposed to be a peace logo, but she screwed it up. It's the Mercedes-Benz logo. She probably drove daddy's MB suv to the protest.

Like an old Monty Python episode I heard that Stroger was pushed in his hospital bed as the front person and MC of the protest parade!

Stroger said, "Just because the Lord took away the use of left side of my body doesn't mean I can't still be a LeftyKnowsBesty!

Well the stroke killed his left side but he is still able to stroke with his right hand!

CLAYPOOL WINS BY A STROKE OF LUCK!

I liked working the protest today.

Stroger's dying, give the ole yessman a break. He's digesting all that he ate. The rest will do the same.
The saying is a thousand year's old, and it hold's it's weave to this very day; "you shall reap what you sow".
Good bye Mr. Stoger, Was it all worth it?
The soul is very easily sold form the weak.
Remember fellow blue: STAY THE COURSE.
STAY THE COURSE.

A man calls the Cook County Board and asks for County Board President Stroger. The operator responds by telling the caller that Stroger is gravely ill due to a stroke. The caller hangs up.

A few minutes later the same caller calls back to the same Cook County Board operator and asks to speak to Cook County Board President John Stroger. The operator again responds with Stroger is gravely ill due to a stroke. The caller hangs up.

A few minutes later the same caller calls back to the same Cook County Board operator and asks to speak to Cook County Board President John Stroger. The operator asks the caller, aren't you the same guy who just called twice asking for President John Stroger? The caller responds by saying, Yes.
The operator asks, Why do you keep calling after I told you Stroger is gravely ill with a stroke?
The caller responds with, I just like hearing that!

One more thing on the dickhead who found a wallet and kept the money:

Found money with no I.D. or any way to trace the owner is a gift from God...a Blessing! Keep it and enjoy.

Found money WITH I.D. is someone else's and you should make sure it's given back to them, even if they're a bunch of assholes (liberals, communists, whatever).

If you're proud of yourself, then fine, be proud. Me, I think you're a dickhead. Again, enjoy your money at the tavern. I just hope you lose your wallet someday with your credit cards, money and your star. Dickhead!

All joking aside, we're supposed to be the good guys, but I guess that's too much to expect from some people. Others who are not the police read this blog, and assholes who talk trash like our guy who found a wallet only reinforce the perception that cops are asshole thieves.

I'm not holier than thou, but if I found a wallet with I.D., I'd try to get it back to it's owner. I sure as hell wouldn't go on a public blog and brag about how I'm a thief.

Call it what you will, but if you really are telling the truth, and really did find a wallet with cash and I.D. and kept it, you're no better than any other asshole. There is a law that applies, remember? Theft of lost/mislaid property.

Anyway, I really think it's just some asshole talking trash, but if it's for real, then he's a DICKHEAD! Twice really, once for stealing the cash, and second for talking about it. DICKHEAD!

Sorry but I find all the comments about Stroger racist, petty, offensive and grossly lacking in maturity or respect; more importantly, the comments say far more negative about us as police officers than they do about Stroger. I'm neither a backer or a relative (one of the few) but the man has done his time, is probably going to die soon, and whatever any of you think you may know about him, not one of you have anything solid.

As for the copper who found the wallet and pocketed the money - he's nothing more than a common thief and should be arrested. He's probably the first to lock up some poor mope who steals a candy bar. Again the kind of embarrassment this Dept doesn't need.

#1 It's a tact team
#2 proper term would be " liberal jagoff"
#3 Any drinker worth his salt knows that 437.usc is only good for 5 days of drinking.

I was there and was impressed with the professionalism of my fellow officers....Good Job Everyone!!

As for the protesters, the majority of them were law abiding citizens who were very polite and only wanted to speak their piece.
There were a small group of asshats calling themselves "Anarcists". I don't think these people know the meaning of the word. These are the little pukes that try to bait the police into beating their asses. I want to commend the officers for ignoring these turds.

Having been through a couple of these protests, this was a good one. The protestors got to say their piece and some police made some overtime. On the whole it was a nice walk on a cold evening. Again, Good Job Everyone!

Things are not black and white you asshats. I stole twenty bucks from a guy yesterday. He was overdosing on heroin. You think I give a fuck? It's not like he's gonna remember me doing it. Don't get the rust-proofing

President Bush discussing confusion about health-care costs among consumers:

"When you go buy a car, you know exactly what they're going to charge you. . . . Well, sometimes you don't know. . . . Well, you negotiate with them. . . . Well, they put something on the window that says price."

Forget whether or not you would buy a used car from this man.

Would you let this man help you buy a used car from someone else?
