If any of this is true, wouldn't it be FANTASTIC if Al is winning awards while exempts are cowering in the face of a portion of Monroe being named after someone who advocated the killing of Al's uncle? What a kick in the shorts to the brass and redemption of a sort for the Gilhooly family.

I dunno, I THINK my men respect me, except for the malcontents they do what I ask them to do, I got more power than I know what do with , I never ask my people to do something I wouldn't do or have done before, I'm not a "little man", I really like this Sgt. stuff, I don't think it's the "shithole job" of the department, I feel that one of ny prime responsibities is to my people, to make sure that they are safe and get the tools needed for a thankless job and to keep them out of trouble, to protect them from the brass that want to screw them ovr whenever they can. Actually, I think it's one of the best jobs in the department. I get to run with the men and be a part of some good arrests and at the same time am part of managment receiveing benefits as such.
Whats wrong with a Sgt. turning in a slip for a few hours when you want to go play with hood rats??? I have know problem with my Sgt. burning a few hours here and there, the reason is I dont need to screw up and take them down with me. Its all about me on this job, have some respect for others. If you want to burn time than burn it, dont cry cause you want to go drink and the Sgt. wont hold your slip.
