We have the Hired Truck and other hiring scandals taking apart City Hall at the moment. Hopefully, more convictions and prison sentences will be forthcoming. Now we have Governor Blago's own little mini scandal popping up in the news:

Golly. A relative of a high ranking official (who probably got the job because of the high ranking official) stands accused of corruption. Who'd have thought that could ever happen? In Illinois? Wow.

Blago was a ghost payroller at city hall before he graduated to the governors mansion. He also was a dui in 17 before the officer was railroaded from doing his job. Nobody has worse corruption then our beloved CPD (supervisors of course).
This city sucks!! It caters to the rich and the ghetto. We're tired of this shit. The majority fo residents in our city have to travel 4 hours a day just to barely make ends meet, because all we all know, there are half a million fast food joints, mom and pop businesses, restaurants, retail and factory jobs...ha ha!!!
But hey!! Let's piss away money and build bicycle lanes that cars use as shortcuts, bs sculptures, etc. THANK YOU DALEY

Gov. Blago refuses to live in the Governor's Mansion.The Illinois State Police Officer I talked to who was assigned to the Governor's Body Guard Detail told us why Gov. Blago lives here in Chicago and not in the Governor's Mansion.
Word is that the Governor's Mansion has very high ceilings. Blago says the high ceilings makes him appear smaller that his short body is. His Chicago residence was built with 7&1/4 foot ceilings (Most homes are 8 feet , the mansion varies from 12 feet to 16 feet depnding on the room).
Blago had his residence ceilings at 7feet 3inches to make him appear taller to guests visiting his residence.
(I think Ronald Forgue also had his ceilings done at 6 feet to make him look taller than the 5'2" that he is)

In sunday's Sun Times, page one story how the Illinois state police are proud of the FACT that they wrote in 2005 4,065 tickets on I-94 in crook county (dan ryan & kennedy) which equals just over 11 (eleven a "DAY") and 925 tickets on I-55 (stevenson) or TWO and a half a day average. Just got this from an "inside" source at 35th......All P.O.s on the old Sgt. list will be double promoted to Lt. on friday to make up for violations of Shackman Decree. I have already called FOP and confirmed the info.
I work at personnel. There is no Sgt. list due out today. The list of 75 Sgt.s will not be announced till next week, So quit messing with these people who are truley concerned about a promotion. This the final class of the existing list so many people are concerned about who has or has not made it. Nothing to joke about.

I have to admit, it really doesn't make sense to promote from an old list in the middle of the Summer, with a new list just weeks away. I had a feeling this would happen but I think I did well on part II
There will be one more class off the old list, probably around 75 or so, depending on what we are short; the department NEVER promotes in the summer so don't expect anything till the fall at the earliest. The class will do the 90 day stint in the D-unit before going back to the academy for their month long training for SGT. This is the truth......

Despite having murdered, maimed and sold out informants to blood-thirsty mobsters, the Mafia cops' racketeering conviction was stunningly overturned yesterday - all because they apparently steered clear of the mob for the last five years.
The ruling left prosecutors and victims' relatives speechless, and even seemed to surprise allies of ex-NYPD Detectives Louis Eppolito. and Stephen Caracappa.
Brooklyn Federal Judge Jack Weinstein acknowledged there was no doubt the disgraced duo were hit men for the mob - guilty of being the most corrupt cops in NYPD history.
Yet he still threw out the convictions, which carried life sentences, on a technicality.
"The evidence at trial overwhelmingly established the defendants' participation in a large number of heinous and violent crimes," Weinstein, 84, wrote.
"Nevertheless . . . the five-year statute of limitations mandates granting the defendants a judgment of acquittal on the key charge against them: racketeering conspiracy," a decision that the judge admitted would appear "peculiar to many people."

Merit was not asked for dumbass. And there is nothing to report on the Sergeants. Like the above stated, why intentionally lie about people's careers when the old list went to 324. The next fifty on the list are not "the bottom of the barrel" but concerned about getting screwed by this city again, so it's not funny to post crap especially when it's from jealous idiots who will never score well.

Just curious, not that I don't doubt you, but why would PC's program of D-Unit training be scrapped this time around? My other question is why 75? Last I heard in March they were short 28-31 sgts. Were additional slots approved for the budget by finance/budget commitee or whoever? Enlighten me cuz my finger nails are all but gone.

If it does get scrapped it would have to come from the Supe, it's his program and he likes it so I doubt it's cancelled, but who knows the way things happen on this job.......
The d-unit program is not scrapped. 75 to 100 Sgts at the end of the summer off the old list. End of Story
get it right its any where up to 125 that will be on the list minus 30% are you gonna make it?
