Cubs Win One!
So now they're only, what? 21 games below .500? Woo Hoo. They're still 100 years from a World Series title. Of course, watch the Cubs fans treat this like some sort of "moral" victory, as if winning 33% of your interleague games against your crosstown rival is something to be proud of. Is it true that the Cubs didn't win one home game in all of June? How sorry is that? Lord we hate baseball. Are the Bears in training camp yet?

This is for the CUB FAN who said about 2 weeks ago that his CUBBIES would sweep my SOX. Didn't happen asshole. The CUBS tried real hard to lose this one to and they almost did.ets face it your CUBS suck and they always will. Gee if the CUBS continue at this pace they just might win 60 games this year . My bet is they won't even win 50. Can you say 14 1/2 , that's games out of 1st. And it's only going to get worst.I really feel sorry for you CUB fans maybe down the line MLB might decide to place a real team on the Northside and not a MINOR League team like they have now.

I was told by a VIP that the Cubs won because the fix was in. The GOV. told the Mayor if the Sox did not let the Cubs win this one, The Mayor's friends would lose thier state jobs.

Just three years ago-- you couldnt find ONE Sox hat on anyone roaming around the city. No one went to the games, no one was talking about "their" team. The only time they sold out was when the Cubs played at Comiskey (I wont call it the "Cell"). Even when the Cubs suck- as they so do right now-- people STILL come out and hope to see a win. Id rather root for a crap team-- as I do now-- then be a fair weather fan as 70% of you so-called "sox-fans" are now. All your hats are nice and new- your jerseys are all current players. The reason for that is you couldnt name anyone that played on that team BEFORE 2004 that isnt on it now!!!!

You are an utter moron. True fans have supported? If you knew how to read correctly-- you'll see that I SAID there are fans-- about 30% of the ones you see now!! The only sell-outs the Sox had prior to last year were when the Cubs came to Comiskey-- and thats because the Cubs fan bought those tickets!!! I'll say again-- Id rather stay true to a team regardless how bad they are now-- then to jump on that black and white bandwagon.

four years ago, you couldn't melt a MFer down and pour his worthless ass into a White Sox's Logo apparels. These fair weather weasels are only there for the good times, beating on their chests and screaming as if they have some sort of loyalty. In reality we all know they bend with the breezes that flow in and out of "Cell Field" Like so many farts, blowing in the wind
The big difference between north and south is simple: the cubs fans are there to enjoy a day at the worlds largest beer garden, not to see the game; wrigley and the neighborhood is the draw not the team, they put a loser on the field year after year and it still sells out, why wouldn't it? with the amount of options available in that neighborhood for restaurants and gin mills the team is an afterthought. Most people at wrigley have no idea what's going on in the game and are too busy talking on their cellphones, socializing, it's a fact.
On the south side, the die-hard sox fans show up every game, about 15,000 or so give or take; the rest won't pay to see an infurior product on the field, period. It makes management make some moves to put bodies in seats; their aren't as many options for dinner and night life by the cell unless you were at some time a local and know where to go, that's where the sox erred in planning when the built the cell, they should have allowed room for some restaurants and bars around the park to build a baseball neighborhood, like wrigley, but they failed to do so, so unless you know where shallers, shinnicks, puffers, jimbo's or dugans is to drink, and freddys,francos, omalleys, ricobenes and chinatown to eat, you go to and from your car and that's it........
Anyone who won't show up to see an INFERIOR-- not infurior-- team is NOT a baseball fan. Just beacuse the only entertainment near the Cell is a toothless old man playing buckets is no reason to show your jealousy of a better neighborhood up north.

IF I ever had to describe, to an outsider, the difference between Chicago's North and South side, I would mention.......
The North side Cubs fans are like a bowl of granola...fruits, nuts and flakes.
The Sox fans are comprised of Bridgeport and Canaryville residents.
Canaryville [residents] are living proof that the circus people drank East of Halsted Street when they were in town.
IF we didn't have Bridgeport...who, would put together the Tilt-a-Whirl?

It's not that Sox fans are fair weather,Unlike Cubs fans,we won't spend our hard earned money to watch a team get their a** kicked day after day.(especially when you can watch them on T.V. for free.)Reinsdorf being the astute bussinessman he is,knew he had to put a winner on the feild to make a profit.MLB is first and foremost,a bussiness.As long as Cubs fans will pay the price of admission just to sing "take me out to the ballgame" you guys will always be saying "wait till next year."
