Thanks Again Rod

  • The federal judge who ruled that Illinois unconstitutionally banned the sale of violent or sexual video games to minors has another message for the state: Pay up.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Kennelly this week ordered the state to pay more than $510,000 in legal fees to three business groups that sued over the Safe Games Illinois Act: the Entertainment Software Association, the Video Software Dealers Association and the Illinois Retail Merchants Association.
So, thanks to the "nanny state" espoused by democrats the world over that think that they know what's best for you and your family, the State of Illinois is now out over half a million dollars. Half a million might seem like small potatoes in a State budget totaling in the billions, but in light of the recent pension fiascoes, budget holes and tax raising, we really don't think the State should be trying to regulate a free market system and making lawyers rich. Judy Barr Topinka isn't really much of a change, but Rod isn't the answer either.

The FOP is going to endorse Rod. DOnahue and crew should put on front street for their endorsement. The membership should have a right to speak.

it's not so much that you are doing or trying to do something.
you must look like you are doing something, anything, to fix a problem percieved or real.
the people get the polititions they deserve.

God I hate him. Maybe if he payed as much attention to pensions as he does his flowing locks, we wouldn't be in this mess. The guy is a retard hack who would be working at KFC without his father-in-law

Vote Topinka!

Rod got what he was after, some very expensive headlines as the protect the children at all costs governor.

Too bad we are the ones who have to pay the costs.

What has Rod done for us, has he even tried to improve or even slow the deterioration of our benefits. Has he done anything to lower gas prices. Maybe the eds should start looking at him. Maybe they are.

Tiny Elvis is doing a variation of what Ryan, Santos, Laski et al got in trouble for. Just because you replaced a corrupt politician, does not make you bullet proof. Come on Fitz: city, county and back to state....

What if suicidal al Qaeda terrorists bring the liquid and the gel on board secreted in cylinders inserted inside body cavities?

In turn, they could use the privacy of airliner toilets to assemble the explosive combination.

Any battery-powered device with a microchip could be used as a detonator, not to mention a mere matchstick.

It is about time!!!!! The Democrats and their facist lackeys have to learn that we have a constitution. If you violate it, you pay. What would be better is if their were punitive damages and these hacks had to pay them out of their own pockets.

There is a price to pay for violating the rights of the people.

Now, since he and his administration have violated their oath, to uphold the Constitution, maybe we can have him impeached.

He can always get a job as a male model. He already has the right name; ROD!!!!!

We need a guy like Gary Delagnes of Frisco here, instead of our ball-less wonder-boy bosses, and FOP reps. Maybe we could trade, I think our bunch, Daley included, would fit in better in San Fracisco anyway...

having TOPINKA as Governor as opposed to Blowgroinavich is like having a 5 ft. 2 inch person trying to reach a box on an 8 ft. shelf as opposed to a 5 ft.tall person trying to reach the same box !!! Both are FAR from the answer for this State!!!

Why is this system so broken? When was the last time you voted for anyone you LIKED? It always boils down to the lesser of 2 evils but you still end up with evil! The people who would do a good job would never enter the political arena as they make a ton of money on the outside. Our politicians are a national joke.

I just watched the video of the San Francisco Police Officer's union president Gary DeLagnes speak out over the death of one of their own. WHAT A CLASS ACT!!! What a stand-up guy! I wish we had leaders like that, but we never will. Our union reps. say nothing to defend us. I believe they still have not made a comment about the shooting in 018, in fact, I never hear them speak publicly about anything sensitive in our defense. The difference between our leadership and San Francisco's is ours are politicians and looking to be taken care of by other politicians. San Francisco's leadership is doing what he is supposed to, represent and defend and throw politics aside. When I see our FOP president or hear him talk he reminds me of Sen. John Kerry. I always wonder what his real motovation is and find it very hard to trust him or any of the FOP reps. for that matter. You all need to watch the news video of this guy. Go to www.ktvu.com/video/95917341/index.html. If you are having a hard time finding the video search on their web sight "san francisco's POB president lashes out" I bet our FOP leaders are hoping very few of us see this!!!

So I told him that I spoke with his old emplyer Leonas on Sheffield and they told me he could have his old job as a pizza delivery man back

The FOP is paying a media relations specialist $2000 a month. I don't see us getting anything for his services. More wasted money. Put a stop to FOP PATRONAGE. Daley and Sorich have nothing on Donahue.

Regarding our wonderful FOP: Don't forget about the proposed bylaw change vote soon. Is it pretty safe to assume we all should vote the exact opposite of the FOP's recommendation? What's their REAL reason for wanting management(Sgt.s) to have voting rights?
