HUGE Terror Plot Foiled

Via Drudge and Breitbart:
  • British authorities said Thursday they had thwarted a terrorist plot to simultaneously blow up several aircraft heading to the U.S. using explosives smuggled in carry-on luggage, averting what police described as "mass murder on an unimaginable scale." Home Secretary John Reid said British police and government were confident the main suspects had been arrested.
Hope no one was planning on flying today. Going to be a long day.

I for one, thank the motherland. May not mean much but I feel better that some are remaining ever vigilant and watching our six.

THEFT PROBLEM AT UNITED AIRLINES/O'HARE

The F.O.P. has received some interesting information which we would like to pass on.

United Airlines is having a serious problem with theft at O'Hare Airport. Evidently, when law enforcement and military personnel check their luggage, after declaring firearms in the bags, they never see the bags again.

This happened to an officer who traveled recently and when he filed a report, Area 5 Investigators confirmed that this is an ongoing problem that they are looking into. They are aware of several cases like this.

This is something to think about next time you arrange vacation or business plans. Perhaps United Airlines is not the correct choice for flights for law enforcement or military personnel.

Home land security is searching carry on luggage for more items but what about the other side of the wall ? If declared weapon baggage can go missing I am sure things can be inserted into luggage on the other side of the wall.

Would you buy another Ford, Chevy, MGB, etc., if your owner loyalty was continually rewarded with oil leaks, leaking head gaskets, or electrical shorts? How many times would you accept an apology from a philandering spouse when he/she goes off the wagon? Masochists aside, sooner or later you wise up and future purchase decisions reflect the realty that you've been getting shafted and you take your money (votes) somewhere else. It's called dollar voting. Economics 101. I only bring home the Sunday Tribune when I find a free copy at the pressroom on Saturday evening when I'm working. I can afford home delivery, however, I couldn't bear to pay a buck-fifty knowing I'm helping to pay the salary of Maurice Possley and Steven Mills. How many times are we going to sit around and read nonsense from Mitchell and other provocatuers at the Sun-Times before we decide to disown the brand? As I stated previously our FOP must take the lead and begin letter writing campaigns to the advertisers. If these goofs understand anything, they understand money. Let's not give them ours! Mark Donahue this is your moment to shine!

We should be cautious, and have our own plans to deal with such an attack.

Remember what department POLICY is as stated by one of our highest ranking exempts.

"IT IS NOT PRACTICAL TO TRAIN INDIVIDUYAL OFFICERS TO RESPOND TO A TERRORIST ATTACK."

When will we stop fooling around and take care of business with these terrorist assholes.

I say Bush new the twin towers were coming down and let it happen.

SCC did you hear the very light news media coverage of the Tillman threats? A store owner in Tillmans ward contributed 1000. to the other runner. He got a phone call at his store from someone telling him "we hear you gave 1000. to so and so, bad move and you will pay, if thats how its gonna be" the dude hung up. The store owner *69ed the call and the person asnwering the phone answered Dorothy Tillams office can I help you! The store owner went to th e police and called his lawyer. I heard it on A.M. 780 WBBM radio, that was all I heard of it. Shoud'nt she be fired or federally investigated? I want her pension and head like she wants BUrges!
This city is a joke. Huge double standard.

They arrested a 6th one here in Chicago today! They were apparently scattered across the US here. Some in Minnesota, New Jersey, and somewhere else. It's so easy to just disappear within our country.

And today just shows why we need to tighten our border policies. Thankfully, MI-5 was able to thwart this one!!

Just saw Chicago Tonight and one of the leading news stories was still the shooting in 018. Even with all that just happened in Britian, you got to love our media.

The best part was that they said ther was a march on city hall which when ended the Mayor meet with 45 people. WHAT THE FUCK!

The kid had a gun, real or not, he pointed at police who ordered him to drop it and he did not. I do not care if the kid was a Rhodes Scholar, he had a GUN.

When was the last time the Mayor held court with 45 PO's?

He had a gun and pointed it at police. He was wrong the PO's on scene where right but yet they still get all the attention

Off topic, but what the hell. I ripped this off of the NYPD Rant.

Deicated To Mary Mitchell:

You shout "foul" if you observe me driving fast to a call,
but raise the roof if I take more than ten seconds
to respond to your complaint.
You call it part of my job if someone strikes me,
but call it Police brutality if I strike back.
You wouldn't think of telling your dentist how to pull a tooth
or your doctor how to take out an appendix,
yet you are always willing to give me pointers on the law.
You talk to me in a manner that would get you
a bloody nose from anyone else, but
expect me to take it without batting an eye.

You yell something's got to be done to fight crime,
but you can't be bothered to get involved.
You have no use for me at all, but of course
it's OK if I change a flat for your wife,
deliver your child in the back of the Patrol car,
or perhaps save your son's life with mouth to mouth breathing,or work many hours overtime looking for your lost daughter.

So, Mr. Citizen, you can stand there on your soapbox and
rant and rave about the way I do my work,
calling me every name in the book, but never
stop to think that your property, family, or maybe even your life depends on me or one of my buddies.

Yes, Mr. Citizen, it's me... the cop!

The author of this article was Trooper Mitchell Brown of the Virginia State Police. He was killed in the line of duty in 2001 after writing the article. As a salute to
the millions of police officers who put their lives on
the line for us everyday, please pass this on.

To all you politicians from alderman to senator: the middle-class working American citizen want the borders closed NOW. Forget the student visas, forget the work visas, forget the amnesty to all the illegals....reclaim our country before it goes to sh##.

We don't need aldermen/women who haven't clue on economics and who may not even have a high school education to vote these ridiculous city laws on telling multi-billion corporations how to run their businesses. If they are so savy with corporate businesses, why aren't they CEO?? For once I have to side with Daley on this one, losing theses businesses loses tax $$ dollars and guess who is going to pick up the loss....us, the middle class already burdened tax payer. We need a clean slate in the city, state, congress and senate... I'm voting for anyone who wants to start protecting this city and country. Anyone who voted for that big box law gets a thumbs down...idiots.

Many of these people are here on "student visas" and/or blend easily in places that are easy to hide where there is no sense of community or where their "look" resembles those of the community. Many others are in gangs in Chicago, NJ, Miami, etc.

Well the city gave the f.o.p a call today and asked if they would be against the city cancelling furlo's and r.d.o's in order to make up for the obvious manpower shortage that we are in and all the f.o.p. had to say was "write it up and we'll let you know".
I for one will be calling monday morning and asking about this. I like overtime as much as the next guy but i'd rather spend my furlo and r.d.o's with my little ones. We are getting screwed left and right and we need to put a stop to this NOW. Let's stop fighting eachother and stand up for once. Call the f.o.p. and let them know that the city needs to hire more officers instead of working us like dogs.

I hope you are jesting.I have yet to have a furlo this year. According to the "contract" I am given 22 working days a year for vacation. I can't picture them paying you double time for any of those days and time and a half on your RDO's. It's the end of summer for chrissakes.

Everyone is crying about having to dump their shampoo and repack all their toiletries. Are these people kidding? Dumping that stuff is a small sacrafice for safety. I follow all the TSA rules, and never complain when I get "wanded" going through security.

What really annoys me is what this world has become in the last 5 years. The warped minds of a few have impacted all the rest of us in our daily lives. How sad...and that's what really makes me furious.

God bless the USA and the CPD.
